A/n: Wow, this has been.. a long time… I had a really bad stage in my life where I developed (well, had it diagnosed after years of living with it) depression, agoraphobia, insomnia and also a mild stage of schizophrenia (which is all gone now thanks to my fabulous therapist Nitika and my amazing boyfriend Jack!). BUT, I'm back with more fanfiction for you lovelys ^u^ By the way, this is an original side plot, not based on the manga nor anime. Essentially, it's about Sebastian trying to *spoiler* *spoiler* from Ciel's life so as he and *spoiler* can *spoiler* *spoiler* *spoiler* 3 If you love me, you'd write a review. BTW: AKAI MEANS RED.

~Chapter 1: My Opulent Lord~…

The young, blue-clad earl looked out of the pale glass of his window. It was early, nearing the time frame of dawn. The sky had been dyed a deep crimson as the sun made it's unwelcomed appearance in the vast, unending sky; Ciel hated the colour – he preferred the presence of the deep blue that midnight brought every night. Past the low-lying hills, the moon was still visible, and a few dozen stars still dotted the sky, ah, how Ciel loved the night. He didn't know why, but the knowing that darkness was impenetrable made his smile – similarly to the knowing that his own little fortress in the estate was impenetrable. His demon had been a great and valuable asset over the years he had been employed in Ciel's service. Ciel sat down on an exquisitely carved wooden chair and pondered thoughts that had been whirring round in his head; he looked at the now-bright sky.

Akai*… akai, like the blood on my hands… akai… like the burning flames scorching an enemies house… akai…. Like the bloody sky…. Akai…

The large wooden door opened silently, and the butler arrived, curious at the sight of the young, opulent earl already awake and out of his bed, and already dressed for the day. He stood there, for about five slowly-passing minutes, then the earl looked up with a sullen expression in his pale, crystalline blue eyes. "Akai…" he whispered under his breath before standing up and walking past the butler. "Akai…"

The day had passed slowly. The sky had gone from the deep, scorching red, to the pale undertones of blue, to the dismal grey that had seeped past the sky, and into Ciel's head. He was unfocused, nothing anyone said made any sense. The uncouth maid Mei-rin had tried to make sense of the perdicament, but she was at a loss, just like Finny, Bard and Sebastian. Then the silence of the estate was broken. Horses rode up the gravelly estate to the main gates, where a young woman got out. She wore a long brown coat and had her brown hair in a messy updo; she carried two tamberines and helped a young girl by the name of Lizzie to get out of the hansom cab which had drove them there from Lizzie's own estate about ten miles from there. She was giggling and loud, which alerted Ciel to her prescence. Then, the same word from this morning pierced his thoughts once again. Akai. Akai. Akai. Akai, the colour of blood on his hands. Akai…

Within only moments, Lizzie had broken into the estate, and was running up the large stairs to Ciel's study. But still, the word reverberated – akai…

A:N: SORRY IT IS SO SHORT ;n; But I needed to end it there for the next chapter. You'll find out why the word akai (red) is so damned important later on in the tale of murder and mystery. Well, if you love me, you'd review 3 Tatty-bye, I have more Skyrim to play~! -Mrstrancy
