Sapphire hues glared across the room, locked onto violet eyes that burned with a startling fury. Ciel's thin lips quirked into a smirk that rivaled the onyx-painted sneer plaster on his lover's expression. Another fight, just like every other night. Something misunderstood, escalated anger and smashed porcelain. It wasn't new.

He can shoot me down, but I won't fall

A thought that resonated through their minds. It was poison, what they had but the both craved the abuse. Their toxic love was the only thing holding them together. Words of blame, criticism and false accusations were thrown at each other; neither side unceasing in their hate.

Blood poured from the gash on the side of Gregory's face, Ciel's nails having done their damage. A constant reminder of what they had. Ciel's left cheek was swollen and purple; Gregory had so graciously punched him in a strained effort to land a hit.

Fire away, fire away

Harsh words spilled from their mouths as they cirled each other, eyes narrowed dangerously.Useless. Unfaithful. Yet it meant nothing to either of them, only hoping to strike the other down. The last to fall was the winner. Gregory warned Ciel he would end up like his father. Ciel retaliated by killing him like his mother had died. Neither meant it, but they believed that the other's words were true.

Gregory ceased his words as they neared each other, grabbing Ciel and throwing him to the ground. In an instant, he was on top of his lover, obsidian lips claiming soft pink. Ciel tangled his fingers harshly in the older male's hair, tearing at it painfully. It was long until the room was filled with groan of pain, cries of pleasure, and erractic breathing, curses slipping their way into the mix.

This was the norm. What they had was unconventional but it worked for them. Everyone knew about their twisted love; they never bothered to hide it, but no one had the heart to criticize. It was in this way that they fit each other. Sweet, constant kisses and tender touches was not what made them. They were brutal and cruel to no one else but each other. Their love, though sick, was unbreakable. That's how it was and how it would always be.
