A/N: This is my first fan-fic so please be nice, but any advice would be much appreciated. Hope you enjoy the story.
Chapter One: I Have To Leave
He turned towards the door. She held out her arm to stop him. "No JJ, just let me go". "You know I can't do that Spence". About a thousand things went through Spencer's head when she said that. "You just said you're leaving America, how can you do this to me?". JJ couldn't believe she'd said it either. She had to leave, Spence was in danger because of her. "I don't care about the stalker! He's not going to frighten me away." " Spence you're talking crazy, he will kill you if you don't leave me. That's why I've decided to leave instead, you can't get hurt because of me." Spencer walked straight out the door. He couldn't live without her.
He walked for two hours, with no real destination in mind. She was leaving to go to England. She could even stay with Emily. It was all too prefect, he just wants to be with her. He spoke to nobody in particular "I've got to go back I have to prove to her, how much I Iove her".
I can't believe he just left! We always fight lately. I just want him to be safe. No matter what he says, I know I'm doing the right thing. The stalker is getting more aggressive. The pictures he sent of Spence is the last straw. I know if the team knew about the stalker they wouldn't let me go. They'd tell me everything is going to be alright. I can't take that chance. I'm getting the nine plane tonight and nothing is going to stop me.
He entered while she was in the middle of packing her clothes into a giant suitcase. "Stop JJ! If you have to go, I'm coming with you". "You know we both can't go, the team needs you Spence". "But I need you JJ". "It doesn't matter Spence! What will the team think, when they wake up and we're both gone. You know they can't know about us! I have to leave, the stalker won't follow me and maybe I can come back when he realises that he can't see me". "JJ you know that's stupid. Statistically". "Don't you spout statistics at me. I love you but I have to go. End of discussion. Please leave, don't make it harder for the both of us".
I balled my fists and thrust them into the air. Why won't she listen. I know I have to leave because I'm afraid of what I might do. "I'll come back in the morning, to try talk you out of this mad charade". "Ok Spence but I won't change my mind". "We'll see about that".
I watched him leave. This is for the best. I know it is. Now he won't even know when I'm gone. My heart aches but I can't back out now, I'll finish packing my clothes and leave before I loose my nerve. Soon I'm outside the airport paying a taxi driver the cab fare. This is it. This is the point of no return. Get on the plane leave my family, my friends and the love of my life. But really there's no decision, the picture of Spence with an X through his face floods into my mind. The choice is simple.
From a distant spot a figure watches JJ enter the airport. The man thinks to himself, how could she ever think getting away from me would be that easy…
