Here's a slightly confusing one-shot. It starts off with James talking, then goes to Lily, then vice versa.
Disclaimer: I do not own Harry Potter. Hypothetically. But, what if this hypothetical author owned this hypothetical plot?
"What if, hypothetically, a hypothetical guy liked a hypothetical girl, but hypothetically, he didn't know how to tell her?"
"Well, does the hypothetical guy know if the hypothetical girl likes him, hypothetically?"
"Hypothetically, the hypothetical guy things so, but hypothetically, he isn't sure. What should he, hypothetically of course, do?"
"First of all, why does the hypothetical guy like the hypothetical girl?"
"Hypothetically, this hypothetical girl is very smart, kind, fierce, and nice, and, hypothetically, rather unorthodox in a good way."
"Well then, hypothetically, why would the hypothetical guy think the hypothetical girl likes the guy, this being said hypothetically?"
"The hypothetical guy thinks this because the hypothetical girl spends all her time with the hypothetical guy and, hypothetically, no longer calls him names."
"What if, hypothetically, the hypothetical girl liked the hypothetical guy?"
"Well, the hypothetical guy would be very happy. Hypothetically, of course."
"What if the hypothetical girl would like to kiss the hypothetical guy?"
"Well, hypothetically, the kiss would be rather romantic. Like this."
"Rather hypothetically, the hypothetical girl liked this kiss. What would the hypothetical guy do next?"
"Hypothetically, the hypothetical guy would ask the hypothetical girl on a date."
"What if the hypothetical girl were to say yes?"
"Then the hypothetical guy would be very happy. Very happy indeed."
"Ah. But all of this is hypothetical, of course."
"Right. Hypothetically."
