Ward had decided that everyone should split into pairs to cover more interviews throughout the Academy campus. Ward would go withn Fitz, which left Skye and Simmons as a pair, which they didn't mind one bit. After talking to a few students, they realized they weren't getting very far.

"Skye, I think its obvious that we aren't great at this." She stared at her feet, trying to figure out how to get the students to talk.

"We could try the good cop, bad cop routine?"

"Can I be the bad cop!?" Simmons looked at Skye rather excitedly.

Skye looked at her amused, "I hate to break this to you but you dont have a 'bad' bone in your body."

"Well technically bones can't be bad, but they can degenerate and lose density."

"You know thats not what I meant. Nerd.."

"I know. Did you just call me a nerd? That's not nice."

"Would it help if I said your nerdiness is adorable?" Skye looked away from the other girl trying to hide her reddening cheeks.

"Really?"

"Yes.. Normally when you start talking about something sciency, I don't understand it but I can't help but be interested because of how adorable you get when you are talking about it."

"I think you are quite adorable yourself."

Simmons sat down on a bench nearby, followed closely by Skye.

"We are being realy good agents right now, relaxing on this bench instead of working on the case."

Jemma didn't seem to be paying attention to what Skye had said. She was staring into the distance, with a conflicted look on her face. Skye gentley nudged her to get her attention.

"You got all distant and quiet all of a sudden, what's up?"

"Back when I went to school here, whenever I needed to be alone and think I would come here."

"Oh, well what were you just thinking about? You kept scrunching your nose, which usually means you are trying to figure out something."

Skye wouldn't admit it, but sometimes she would sit in the lab and pretend to be doing something important on her laptop, but secretly would be watching Jemma work. Skye thought the scientist was beautiful and she had developed feelings for her, and genuinely wished that Jemma felt the same about her. But that is impossible, she could never like someone like Skye.

"I was just thinking, it's nothing."

Skye rested her hand on Jemma's leg, "Come on tell me, you can tell me anything."

Simmons just shook her head, she could not tell Skye how she felt about her. It could ruin their friendship, she couldn't let that happen.

"Jemma seriously, whatever it is, just tell me."

"Skye, I... IthinkImayhavefeelingsforyou."

Jemma said it so quickly, that Skye wasn't 100% sure what she just heard.

"I said, I like you."

"That wasn't that hard now was it? You are in luck, it just so happens that I like you too."

"Really?" Jemma was shocked that Skye admitted that she has feelings for her too.

Skye put her hand on the scientist's cheek, and slowly caressed it. Looking into her eyes for a sign that it was okay to kiss her.

Jemma shut her eyes and closed the space between their lips.

The kiss was sweet, and continued for a few moments before Fitz came up behind them and yelled "Finally! I thought that was never going to happen, both of you are far too stubborn!"

Skye, and Simmons both giggled. "Hey guys give us another minute, we will meet you up by the fountain."

Skye turned to Simmons, "What does this mean for us?"

"Um.. Would you want to be my girlfriend?" Jemma said shyly.

"Of course I do, nerd."

They leaned in for another quick kiss before heading up to meet the guys.
