Prologue-
"Jack, don't go!" she whispered. He finished lacing his shoe and began to fix his bandana. As the sun rise shined through the window and reflected gloriously off the coin beaded into his hair, she squinted to catch one last glimpse of him, but before she could blink he had put on his hat and belt, pocketed his rifle and begun to walk from the room. At the last moment she sat up. "Please!" Although she was slightly more demanding this time, she knew that she could not keep him forever.
He turned to her and smiled, "I'd love to stay love, but you've forgotten one thing. I'm Captain Jack Sparrow!"
And he was gone.
Chpt 1
Kiera had been raised well by her mother. She was strong, smart and beautiful. She was quick witted and sarcastic. She was brave. But most importantly, she had a heart of stone. Her mother had taught her that. "Trust noone." she would tell her just before kissing her daughter goodnight. "For if you love too much, you will never get it back."
Kiera and her mother had lived happily together until Kiera's eleventh birthday when her mother started to get sick. They thought it just a cold, but it continued to grow worse and worse, until that june, when news came of a ship that had just made port in the area. It was a pirate ship. One of the most famous pirate ships on the seven seas, the Black Pearl. Kiera heard two women talking in the market place and was so excited se dropped all of her vegetables and ran home to tell her mother.
"Mother, Mother, they say there's a pirate ship! It just landed last night and now it just sits in the bay. Its huge, with black sails…"
