Rhys walks along the pier, chewing on a donut. He forgot to make lunch, so he ran the nearest bakery.

He's only just finished his pastry when he sees Gwen, walking hand in hand with her boss.

Rhys knows there is nothing between them; Gwen has reassured his several times, and he believes her. Don't get me wrong, Rhys is jealous. But he wonders why she never looks that happy when she was with him.

Why she never smiles as wide as she is right now. Why she never laughs as joyously. He's her husband, she shouldn't be so happy with anyone but him.

His head droops. Only one thing can make someone glow as they did when Gwen was with Jack. Love. He knows, he thinks he always knew, why Gwen had never looked so happy.
