S Club 8 - Sundown
Sundown, a great festival was being held in honour of the new born prince. All was not well however, a great drought had swept through Camelot. King Arthur, now happily married to Morgana, was worried that his kingdom would not survive the summer. He realised that he needed his partner, but that was impossible. He, had deserted Camelot. Arthur sent guards to find him, but so far, to no avail. As the last section of the Sun sank beneath the horizon, he whispered to the open heavens, "Somewhere, I know you're waiting…"
Anastasia – Once Upon a December
She walked through the cold, barren shell that remained of her father's castle. She looks to her left and sees the remains of a vase, on which were what remained of painted wings. A memory tugs at mind. A song, a dance, a winter. Stepping down the wasted staircase, she remembers the warmth of a paternal hug, horses thundering across snowy plains and the grace of a hundred dancers. Walking to the middle of the hall floor, she sees a familiar figure come towards her. She felt the memory slipping and willed her heart to remember. A song, a man, once upon a December.
James Blunt – You're Beautiful
As I turned the corner, I saw her. The girl who I had set my heart upon, Guinevere. Beautiful, kind, loving Gwen. So far, apart from the little mishap with Merlin, my life had been so perfect but now, it would never be complete without her. My love for her was pure, she was my angel of hope. Then I saw the other man, him, the silly pretty boy who she had fallen for. For a second, she smiled at me and I felt a rush of hope. I will not lose to him! I had a plan to win her back. When, his attention was caught by Gwen's father, the local blacksmith, I ran up to my love and blurted "You're beautiful. I saw your face in the market and now I have no idea what to do but with him around, I'll never be with you." I handed her a small bunch of flowers and walked quickly away as he chased after me. At least I had shared on small moment of time with my one true love, Gwen. Now it was time to face the truth, I would never be with my love.
Girls Aloud – I'll Stand By You
I couldn't believe what my father had done. For a big strong knight, I was really acting like a child but I couldn't help it, my closest companion had been driven out by my own father. I went to my chambers and stared out of the window. I didn't even hear the door open again, then a soft voice in my ear whispered, "Don't be ashamed to cry, I understand what you're going through. You can't face this alone, I'll stand by you." I didn't say anything but the voice was comforting. It didn't have the same protecting tone as Morgana's but instead, it was soft and gentle. It helped as I watched what was going on below. My closest companion was being slaughtered by my own father. Again the voice whispered, "If you're going to be mad, get mad. Don't keep it all inside. Talk to me. I was angry too, we're a lot alike. I'll always be here for you." Something in her tone, made me believe that there was hope after this act of betrayal. I knew that after night fell, I would not be alone; never again would I be alone.
