Itachi held the shallow breathed rosette; the sounds of the battlefield echoed in Sakura's ear. She was hearing a mixture of sounds. Deidara's hand was on Itachi's shoulder as tears ran down his own face. Itachi clenched Sakura tighter to his chest as drops of his own fell on Sakura's face and rolled down.
Cuts and bruises adorned the dying woman's body, her weapon next to her. Her arms were covered in blood and the two other men cried at their friend and lovers state. Sakura slowly opened her eyes half way and looked at the holding her.
"Itachi,"
The raven haired looked at the rosette as she called out his name for his attention. Tears still rolled down his cheeks as she looked at her dying friend.
"Don't you leave us Sakura, don't you dare!"
"My time is soon."
"No!"
"My last wish is for you to win this battle and claim victory or the enemy. And to be happy, the both of you,"
Deidara cried silently as he listened to her dying wish and nodded in understand. Itachi on the other had a sad glare on his face and gently shook his friend's body.
"Stop talking like that! You're going to make it!"
"Just be happy. For me okay,"
And with that the shallow breathing stopped and the rising of her chest stopped completely. Itachi pulled her closer as he whimpered at his lover's fate. The blonde haired man pulled his hand from the raven haired one and walked towards the battlefield, weapon in hand. Itachi turned his head to his friend and looked at his with a sad expression.
"I am going to fulfill her dream, one way or another," Deidara said as he went towards the battle.
Itachi gently laid Sakura down on the ground and closed his eyes. He opened them again with a smile on his face and grabbed hold of his weapon.
"Yeah I am going to make your wish come true,"
As the last raven haired male stood up, he turned around, following the blonde. With a look over his shoulder he gave one last smile before heading towards the fight.
They were going to make her dying wish come true.
This came to me through a picture i did with just different characters. Itachi is a little OOC but they fell in love way earlier then this as it is set during the 4th ninja war. This won't be a scene in Shades of Darkness. I can't do that. I do admit this is sad, even for me, Shades of Darkness will be put on hold for a month or two, I am deciding to write 3 or so chapters ahead so i will be able to just post, but! I will have a shared story with Miya Simusa! on a shared account! i will post it on my profile with the story. so check it out!
