Lyra was sitting around in her room, bored out of her mind. There was nothing to watch on TV, she played every game on her Wii and DS, and watched every movie in the house. She couldn't do something with her mom; she left to go do some grocery shopping. It was 1:00 PM on a Sunday.
"OH MY GOD I'M SO BORED!" Lyra said as she got up from lying on her bed. She walked over to the window to see Ethan leaving to go visit some relatives for a couple of days.
"Bye Ethan, come back soon or you'll pay a fine." Walking back to her bed she stepped on a piece of paper. Confused, she picked the paper up. Lyra blushed at the drawing of a red haired boy she made a while back. She met the boy a while back too, when she was traveling. His name was Silver. He was a little rude and often ignored people, but the couple of times he and Lyra met up, he would start warming up to her. Lyra had given him her address last time they met; he said
"You want me to visit you? Fine, I'll do it when I don't have anything better to do." Maybe he won't ever come… Then the doorbell rang. Probably Mom. Lyra went downstairs to open the door. Silver was standing there with his arms folded across his chest.
"Hey, I came like I said I would."
"S-Silver! C-Come in!"
"Those stairs go to your room?"
"Yes…"
"Alright then."
Silver went up. Lyra had to control her urge to scream from happiness. Oh My God! He actually came! And he got even cuter since the last time I saw him! Lyra ran up the stairs so fast she almost tripped.
"You want anything to eat?!"
"Sure, whatever"
Lyra ran back down. Silver sighed when she left. He came here wanting to tell her, but now he didn't know how to do it. He spotted a piece of paper on the floor. He picked it up and blushed. She's been thinking about me… He heard Lyra come back up and threw the paper back on the floor.
"I have chips! Do you like these kind? I'll get you something else if"
"I like those, we'll share o-okay?"
Silver turned on the TV.
"Wanna watch this movie?"
She nodded and sat down next to him. She noticed that Silver shuffled a bit to sit closer to her. She blushed; Silver noticed it and blushed too. Sometimes their hands would accidently touch when they reached for the chips at the same time. Every time it happened, the both of them would say sorry. The movie ended and Silver turned off the TV. Lyra was confused.
"Lyra, I have to tell you something, okay? Listen."
"Okay Silver."
"I um… always… r-really…"
Silver face got redder than it ever was before and turned to avoid Lyra's smile. "C'mon Silver, tell me!"
Silver got a bit mad at that remark.
"I've always really liked you okay? That's why I came over!"
Silver turned away from Lyra entirely. Lyra hugged him from behind.
"I've always felt that way too Silvy!"
"D-Don't call me Silvy!"
He turned around and Lyra kissed him on the cheek and giggled. Silver face got even redder.
"Does that mean you'll be my"
She nodded and hugged him again. He smiled and smoothed her hair. The doorbell rang, scaring the both of them. They went downstairs together and opened the door. Standing there was Lyra's mother with dozens of bags filled with food.
"Lyra dear! I'm sorry I took so long!"
She noticed Silver and got a puzzled look on her face.
"Sweetie, who's this young man?"
Silver and Lyra smiled. "Mom, this is Silver, my boyfriend."
