Chapter 1: The First Vision

Hope gasped as she woke up in her bed. Her face was beaded with sweat and she was panting heavily as she sat up, trying to remember the contents of her dream, but they were slipping from her head like icy water.

All she knew was that it included Voldemort, and a man, a man named Wormtail - that was an odd name, she thought, because she didn't know who he was and they had been plotting, plotting again something or someone. Hope had been almost certain they had mentioned they were going to kill someone.

She shook her head and stood up, this whole thing was freaking her out. She changed into a green dress and went downstairs. She could hear clattering in the kitchen, a head poked in the hallway, it was her mother. They looked a lot exactly like each other. They both had long red hair and almond shaped emerald eyes - the best part as her father said.

"Morning." Lily said as she went back to cooking.

"Morning." Hope said with a smile, momentarily forgetting about the dream as she sat at the table and buried her nose in the book next to it. After twenty or so minutes, James and Damien came down, and as usual her younger brother was rubbing his eyes - he was seriously not a morning person, no kidding- but James looked wide awake for once. It was just a normal day; Damien was going over to Ron's for Quidditch practice, he had offered Hope to come too, but she was more interested in finishing the book in her hand. Lily was just bustling about, cleaning the house, normal housewife things, and James was bringing Sirius over and doing their usual Auror stuff.

The fire in the fireplace turned green and Sirius came in, grinning widely. "Morning you four! Hey Lils' what's for breakfast or did you already eat it all up? You know sausage is the best thing for a dog." he said sniffing at the meaty smell. Hope rolled her eyes and went to her room to continue reading.

After sometime later, she didn't know whether it was hours or minutes, someone knocked on the door. Hope sat up, it wasn't her brother or father, normally they'd just barge in especially Damien.

"Want to come over?" Ginny asked, sitting on the edge of her bed. "No thanks." Hope responded, book marking her page and wrapping her hands around her knees as she looked back at her.

"I really appreciate that you're reading so much," Hermione added. "but you need to be more sociable."

Hope looked at her affronted.

"I am sociable." she insisted.

"Then come to the Burrow with us. Play some Quidditch." Ginny dragged her arm and she and Hermione frog marched her downstairs.

"Here you are!" Ron said, clapping her on the back and almost knocking her over. "Let's have a go, see how you and Damy play."

"Brother and sister? You're evil, Ron, evil." Ginny said as Hope stared at him in disbelief.

"Two players can't play against each other can they?" she asked.

"No, of course not silly," Ginny laughed. "I'll be on your team and Ron on Damy's."

"I'll keep up the scores." Hermione offered, taking out a colour marker and a Muggle whiteboard, marking the two teams as bland as Team A and Team B. Typical Hermione but there was no point in digging for specific names.

"You took me out," Damien panted. "Again."

Hope spared a glance at him, a knowing smile playing on her lips. "Now that I've done my purpose, I guess I'll be going." she said, her broom over her shoulder as she turned back away, but at that unfortunate moment Mrs Weasley decided to show up and hear the last bit of the conversation.

"Oh no, you can't go yet, dear!" she exclaimed. "I've already prepared lunch and Damien already told me how much you like chicken pot pie!" Hope shot her brother a heated glare that only a red-head could produce and reluctantly followed Mrs Weasley in the house. Everyone laughed quietly at her look and Mrs Weasley's of confusion.
