Author's Note: First time writing a Harry Potter fic. Enjoy.

No, I don't own Harry Potter. Obviously. A review would be nice, though.

Ginny Weasley didn't know if she was a heavy sleeper or not. She just knew that she would always wake up to Luna's soft humming in the middle of the night.

Did she do it back in Hogwarts? Maybe in her own room, back home? But here she was, on a visit at the Weasleys. Ginny could almost see her best friend, sitting on the bed's edge, legs swinging back and forth, humming that one tune in her dreamy voice. Like what she was doing now.

That bleached blonde hair, the light blue eyes, the light and airy tone she always used when talking, those radish earrings and bottle cap necklace, that odd smile. It's a smile that, at first glance, may come off as weird, strange, even. Ginny could see past it, but others couldn't. That's probably how she got that nickname. Loony Lovegood. It never bothered Luna the slightest, but it did to her.

Ginny cracked open an eye, just ever so slightly to see her friend's back, directed at her. If she paid attention enough, maybe she could've seen the slight tilt of Luna's head, just a little to the right. She was wearing a pure white nightgown, giving her a ghostly appearance, still humming.

Oh, how Ginny would love for everyone else to see Luna like this, to stop calling her names, to just stop bothering her. She knows it wouldn't happen, though. It's hard enough to change one's thoughts on another.

Maybe it was the night dragging deeper or Luna's voice that makes Ginny aware of how heavy her eyelids felt. She regrets closing them, wanting to hear that voice for just a little bit longer.

"Ginny, wake up. Your mum's calling us for breakfast." A light voice called out.

Wanting to sleep just a little bit longer, Ginny ignores Luna shaking her shoulder. She hears voices downstairs…oh. Just Harry and Hermione. When had they come? The tomboy hears her mother shout for Ginny and Luna to come downstairs before Ron eats all the toast, and finally opens her eyes to see Luna already dressed, sitting patiently on her bed, waiting for Ginny.

Ginny hated morning. She could never really stay in bed just a little longer, and everyone is always so sleepy just after they woke up. She looks forward to the night, where she can rest easy now that the war was over. It was the nights that, when Luna comes to visit, are the ones which Ginny looked forward to the most.

So when Luna just smiles and talks about a recent article in her father's magazine, all Ginny did was smile back.
