Normally Dean avoided doctors like the plague; he hated them with their sanctimonious nodding and their wandering hands.
So when he suddenly started coming down with a succession of mysterious ailments including earache, chest infection, sore throat, and stomach ache; all of which required urgent visits to the dreaded surgery, and none of which seemed to be exhibiting any symptoms, Sam was more than a little confused and concerned.
Voicing his concerns had only resulted in being told to stop being such a girl, so he decided that, yes, he would stop being a girl; and become a detective instead
