Stars

Ned Bigby and Jennifer Ann 'Moze' Mosely where laying contently in the field that resided behind their homes. The sun had just set about 10 minutes ago, and the two friends were watching the stars come out. The breeze blew lightly every few minutes, ruffling Moze's hair. Ned tried not to think about how beautiful the wind made her look. It was the extreme torture for him not to just reach out and kiss her.

The gang were now sophomores in George M. Kilper High, but nothing had happened between Ned and Moze yet. They each had a severe crush on the other, and everyone knew about it but them. Isn't it funny how it always works out that way?

"Look! A shooting star!" Moze said excitedly, pointing up a finger. Ned closed him eyes and mumbled something to himself. Moze put down her finger and looked at him strangely. "Make a wish?"

"Yeah."

"What about?"

"I can't tell you or it won't come true." Ned stated matter-of-factly, lying back with his hands behind his head.

"Since when are you so superstitious?" Moze asked, turning onto her side and propping her head up with her hand. She studied his face with her eyes as she waited for a reply.

"Since I want this wish to come true." Ned said, adverting his eyes from the stars to look at his companion.

"Come on Ned! You really don't believe that if you tell me your wish won't come true!?" Moze pressed, wanting to know what Ned had wished for.

"No, I don't believe that. But for the sake of this wish coming true, I'm taking extreme caution." Ned told her. Secretly, though, he was afraid of what might happen if he told her. He has wished for her to like him as much as he liked her. As in, more than a friend. He was sure that the star-wishing gods couldn't do anything about it, but it was worth a shot. Moze let out a defeated sigh and rolled back onto her back. Another star shot across the sky and she quickly closed her eyes and wished.

"What'd you wish for?" Ned asked her once she opened her eyes again.

"I can't tell you or it won't come true." Moze replied in a mocking tone. Ned smirked.

"I'll tell you mine if you tell me yours." Ned pressed. Moze smiled.

"You first." Moze said, propping herself back up. Ned gulped and nodded, clearing his throat.

"I wished that you'd love me" He said, barley above a whisper, but just loud enough for Moze to hear. As Ned looked away from her, blushing, Moze smiled and began to lean into him. When she was close enough, she cleared her throat and Ned turned his head around, looking into her close brown eyes.

"W-what'd you wish for?" Ned asked, stumbling on his word for the first time in front of his best friend.

"To know what you wished for" Moze stated, then leaned in and kissed him. The kiss was sweet, but passion tingled on their lips. Ned deepened the kiss as he got into a more comfortable position.

"I love you, Moze" Ned said as they parted. Moze only smiled and answered him with another kiss.

Another short one. This one I hope to be more fluffy then my other one. Right now its one am and I'm laying in bed typing this. So, sorry if I missed any spelling errors.
