I. Prologue

It is universally agreed that Chad Dylan Cooper has the sweetest, friendliest, cutest wife. Sonny Monroe-Cooper is the perfect housewife, and a modern success. Everyone agrees she was the perfect person for Chad, and Everyone knows that it was because of her that he settled down.

It's true Sonny and Chad used to be considered worst enemies. Every other day some new story came out about their Epic Fights. There were Tweet Fights, Smoothie Fights, and generally lots of Word Spew. But one thing led to another and eventually Chad and Sonny couldn't deny it any longer.

A wise man once said "You can only really hate someone if you really care about them."

Chad and Sonny found this to be true.

It began with flames of passion. Hookups in spare closets and sneaking around behind everyone's back. Then it changed, evolved as all relationships do. They came out of the closet, so to speak.

This was the beginning of the end for one Chad Dylan Cooper.

Sonny had big plans for him, for them. And when Sonny Monroe has plans, those plans are always carried out.

So Chad found himself thrown quickly into couple status. From there it was all downhill. On paper they made the perfect couple. They balance each other out. But there was something about sneaking around. Something that completely and totally appealed to Chad Dylan Cooper. When they were officially a couple all of that was gone. Now their relationship was all about parties and dates and looking perfect together for the camera.

The media loved them. Chadson, they were called - The New Brangelina. They were perfect for each other. The whole relationship was a publicity stunt.

Then Chad started to become comfortable with it. Sonny was sweet, in an endearing little kid kind of way. In the beginning she put up with his crap - the late night parties, the recreational drug use. And when she stopped putting up with it Chad just became better at hiding it. Little by little he felt himself giving up the control in the relationship.

But he cared about her, deep down, and when she wanted to get married, he agreed. After all they had been through together it was easier than breaking her heart. But no one on the outside knew that. They only saw the wedding of the century as it was called. And Sonny was happy. She had the wedding of her dreams. So this is where we find them, America's Sweethearts. From the outside they are the perfect couple. But inside the cracks are visible. They share a epic love story. Will it be enough?

AN: This is a short taste of The Beautiful Chaos - Setting the Stage, so to say for the rest of the story. It is going to be an Epic Love Story in five or possibly six parts. Each Chapter will be based off a song by The Airborne Toxic Event, who inspired this. Currently this story has two endings and I'm not even sure where it's going to end up. The first Chapter will be The Girls in Their Summer Dresses, influenced by the song by ATE of the same name and the short story by Irwin Shaw. I recommend both.
