He drummed his fingers on the windowsill, a screwdriver in his mouth and a wrench in his other hand. He'd been waiting for several hours now to work on the Albiore; any of the machines, anything mechanic ... and yet, Grandpa seemed to take things at his own pace. That was something that infuriated Ginji to no end, and yet, he'd learned to endure it, to be patient.

With a sigh, he leaned back in his chair, sitting so that the back two legs held all of the weight.

A sound reached his ears.

Oh Lorelei, it was terrible.

Even so, this was a daily routine, and he'd learned to endure it, to be patient. He'd also learned to cover his ears. It worked. Most of the time.

So, releasing the wrench he held in one hand and biting down hard on the metal of the screwdriver in his mouth, he lifted both of his hands and placed them tightly over his ears, attempting to block out as much as he possibly could of this wretched, wretched noise. This time, however, it only grew louder as he covered his ears.

This was horrible. This was terrible. This was just .. this was torture. Why, Lorelei?! Why plague him with such a horrible, horrible sound?! It was bad enough that it was loud enough for the entire town of Sheridan to hear on a daily basis, but for it to be even louder today?

This was ... this was madness! Pure, utter madness!

Something had to be done.

The chair suddenly fell all the way back. He let out a surprised yelp, that sound followed by the rolling metal of the screwdriver across the floor. He scrambled to his feet.

Something had to be done.

So .. Ginji Iemon set out to do the one thing he could do.

He rushed to the door of his room, yanking it open and calling downstairs to where his little sister was making breakfast.

"NOELLE! FOR THE LOVE OF LORELEI, PLEASE TELL GRANDPA TO STOP SINGING!"

Author's Jargon: You know, we really don't see enough of Ginji. Ever. Anywhere. He's a minor character, sure. A really minor character. But hey, as with all characters, he deserves love as well. The good thing about Ginji is that we can take a little bit of liberty with his personality, seeing as we see so little of him. He seems a bit serious during the two times we do see him, right?

Well, those were serious times. If you saved Ginji in-game, he's pretty serious because he'd just gone through a life-threatening situation. And again, if you saved Ginji in-game, he later becomes Asch's pilot. And the next time we see him? He's once more in another life-threatening situation.

Doesn't anyone ever stop to wonder how the guy is when he's not in a life-threatening situation?

Here's my take on his personality.

This was written as my roleplay sample for Ginji at one of the roleplays I'm at. I've roleplayed Ginji in two roleplays now, and he's always extremely fun to play as; the personality that came out of him when I began to play him was that of a happy-go-lucky, never taking anything for granted kind of guy who obviously is into fonmachines and flying. Oh. And he makes everyone lose the game. Which you, the readers reading this author's note, just lost.

On a completely unrelated note, I really feel bad for the Vesperia fic writers. : We Vesperia writers don't have our own section yet. Hop to it, fanfiction dot net! Chop-chop, make with the section creation! I have an Estellise-centric roleplay sample to post, too!
