Silence

She doesn't say anything when she finds herself falling. It's so cold.
She doesn't find out until later that he rescued her from it. It's so warm.
She doesn't find out later that she had been unconscious. What?
She doesn't see the glance that he gives her wet body. Who?
She feels herself being set down, but she doesn't speak. She doesn't say anything. Teyla, say something, dammit!
She feels his hands on her, but she doesn't say anything when they brush too close to those tender spots on her. Shhh.
She feels a burning sensation on her neck, and she just thinks it's because of her fall. She later ignores Rodney's look at her neck. Lieutenant Ford is polite enough not to say anything after Major Sheppard silences him with a look.
She doesn't say anything as his hand on her side "accidentally" grabs her breast to balance herself. His grip on her wrist tightens, but she doesn't cry out in pain.
When Dr. Weir asks what happens, she doesn't say anything. When she is cleared by Dr. Beckett, Major Sheppard drags her away. He drags her into his room, where he sits her down and then walks away to bring her a change of clothes.
She doesn't see the gleam in his eyes when she starts to walk away to change. She doesn't notice that he is waiting for her when she gets out.
She does see the smile on his face, and the dark predatory look in his eyes. She sees the same thing reflected in her gaze. Then that look is gone from her face, like it was never there. She hears the door lock, and she panics.
But his touch on her arms are soothing. His voice echoes through her head. She doesn't reply, she can't. He cradles her head against his chest, his look temporarily forgotten. She begins to cry. She feels him speak, but can't hear anymore. It's ok. I'm here.
She begins to see shadows, darkness closing in on her. But he doesn't let them come any closer. If anything, he chases them away, just with a gentle kiss that quickly turns into something more powerful. She hangs on tight, and he won't let her go. They need each other, and even though no one must ever know, they are in love.
Inwardly, she doesn't want this. She can survive without him. She will survive without him one day. The Wraith will come, their secret will be revealed to everyone. Then she will quickly become an outsider once again. But he will not let her go, and she remains silent throughout it all.
He won't let her go. She won't let go until he does. They don't have forever with each other. Tomorrow, they must return to the outside world and become leader and follower again. But for today, the bed is waiting.
She begins to speak again as she hits the bed. It causes him to begin again, licking away the sting on her neck again, only different from the last one. She knows that he will silence the others again. But until tomorrow, the silence between the two of them is broken. And they are one for all of eternity, if it lasted that long.
