A/N: Okay I have no idea how well this is going to go over. I've never done something like this. I have just watched all fourteen episodes of the Flash online. I didn't have an interest in it until I found out that Grant Gustin was the star. I love him in Glee and so I just had to watch the Flash. It's actually a good show and I am looking forward to seeing what is going to happen. This is going to be new to me, because I don't do the whole superhero thing so bare-with me on it. I will include Arrow and Red Arrow in it, but only in a small amount. I have never seen Arrow except like three episodes so I make no promises about the way they act or talk. Hopefully this goes over well. This was just going to be a One-shot, but then some more ideas started to come to me so now it is going to be a story instead of a hundred thousand word One-shot. So enjoy and hopefully this will go over well.

Exposed

Barry had been cooped up all day in his lab. He had been working a lot recently on different cases that had come up not to mention all of the other special cases he's been on. The Metahumans were starting to really pop up and Barry couldn't help, but wonder why that was all of a sudden. It seemed while he was in a coma that they weren't causing trouble, but ever since he has woken up from the coma just over a year ago they have been coming up more and more. Barry couldn't help, but wonder if it had something to do with the Reverse Flash or if maybe they needed the time as well to recover. Barry knew he would have to figure out that answer one day, but he wasn't ready to work through that right now. Barry had just been glad that no one too tough had come along. He was honestly getting sick of getting his ass kicked. The first couple of months had been hard, but thankfully he was able to get through it and he had become better for it. He had also been training with Oliver as well on some weekends to help with his fighting skills and he skills in casing out his surroundings. The training had helped him greatly in fights so Barry had gone back three times a month to work with Oliver and learn everything he can from him.

Barry leaned back in his chair as he looked outside. It was night now. Barry knew he could have gone home, but Joe was stuck in a station meeting with everyone that worked within the station. He didn't have to go, because he was a scientist and not a cop. Barry also knew that Iris would be here soon to wait for Eddie. Barry was glad that things between them had gone back to normal. Eddie did love her and he knew that he always would, but he could at least start to move on from that love and try to find someone to be happy with. He truly did want Iris to be happy and have a great life, even if that meant it wasn't with him. Barry had accepted that a long time ago and he had made peace with it. He knew that he could never be with Iris because of being the Flash. He didn't want anyone to hurt her. She was constantly writing about the Flash and the other Metahumans. She was already putting herself in danger by doing it and Barry wasn't going to put her in anymore risk.

It was just after seven at night and Barry was going to head downstairs to go and wait for Joe to be done. He also figured Iris would be here soon so he could just wait with her downstairs. Barry got up and he was about to go downstairs when he heard gunshots coming from downstairs. Barry felt the fear rise in his body and he quickly went to get changed into his Flash uniform before he would go downstairs to see what was going on.

Joe had been downstairs in the meeting with everyone else. Once a month the whole station would have to get together for a station meeting to go over any problems that have come up or any cases that need help. They would all try and offer suggestions for the detective to work on. These meetings usually go on forever and tonight was no exception. It had already been two hours and they were still at it. Joe looked out the window and saw that Iris was just getting there. She went over to Joe's desk and she smiled at him. Joe knew they would be getting a break soon and he would be able to go out there and speak to her. These meetings can go late and he didn't want her waiting around for them all night. Joe held up his index finger to let Iris know to wait a minute and he would be out to speak to her. Iris just nodded and she sat down on the edge of the desk to wait for her father. It wasn't even five minutes later did the elevator opened and gunshots were fired into the ceiling. Iris snapped up and she put her hands up by her head as the door to the meeting room opened and all thirty cops came running out of the room. Joe and Eddie ran over to Iris just as General Eiling walked up front of his men. There were forty soldiers with their riffles all pointing towards the officers. They all had their guns pointing towards each other and General Eiling spoke.

"Now, now everyone just calm down. We aren't here for you."

"What the hell do you want General?" The Captain demanded as his gun was trained on the soldiers.

"You'll see. Hartley, hurry he'll be here soon." General Eiling said.

Harley came up between two soldiers with a smile on his face. "He indeed will be here and then the fun will begin."

Harley pulled out a device from his pocket and threw it at the open space between the lobby and the offices. Before their eyes a flash happened and then a glow before it disappeared.

"Did it work?" General Eiling asked.

Hartley went over to the receptionist desk and picked up a mug before he threw it at the opening. Sure enough it shattered as electricity went through it.

"The shield worked. I told you it would." Hartley said with a cocky smile.

"What is the meaning of this Eiling?" Joe demanded.

"You'll see very soon Detective West. You will all see." Eiling said with a smile.

"For now you might as well just sit down and enjoy the show." Hartley said.

There was a red lightening streak as Barry came down the stairs and stood in front of the cops, not knowing of the shield behind him.

"Put the guns down." Barry said as he shook his voice so no one would recognize him.

"Go ahead boys, we won't be needing them." Eiling said.

The soldiers lowered their guns, but it did nothing to ease Barry's tension. He didn't trust Eiling and even more now that Hartley was here with him.

"What are you doing here and with him?" Barry asked as he nodded his head towards Hartley.

"I told you I would see you again. This is going to be more fun than the last time Flash." Hartley said with a smile.

"You're just going to end up back in a cell Hartley and this time no one will let you out."

"Yes how is Firestorm?" Eiling asked.

"He's better than he's going to be." Hartley said with a devious smile.

"I've kicked your ass twice now. Aren't you getting sick of this?" Barry asked with confidence.

"Oh this time around it will be very different. This time you are going to die right here in the station." Hartley said.

"I seriously doubt that."

"I don't." Hartley had his hand in his pocket and he hit a button on a remote that he had in his hand. The second he pushed the remote pain filled Barry's entire body.

Barry screamed as he felt his whole body fill with pain. He remembered this pain all too well, it was what happened the last time that Hartley had used the frequency to transmit through his body. Hartley smiled as he pulled out the remote from his pocket as Barry fell down to the ground unable to stop the pain.

"I've been studying you and your past battles. You remember this though, it's what I used against you the last time, only this time you don't have anyone to mess with the frequency. No one knows you are here fighting. You're all alone this time around. Don't worry I won't let it kill you, that would be too easy."

Barry coughed up blood as his body was still filled with pain. He could feel his organs contracting and he could swear they were going to shred into nothing.

"Put the cuffs on him. Let's see how strong he is without all of that speed." Eiling said.

A soldier came forward and grabbed onto Barry's right arm and pulled it behind his back. He attached an electric cuff, the same that was used on Hartley and attached it to both of his wrists. Barry screamed as he could feel his energy being blocked out of him. The soldier moved back in line and Hartley turned off the remote. Barry took a few deep breaths as he was on his stomach. He tried to move so he was more up on his knees and he spat out blood. He was just leaning over on his knees facing the side when Hartley came over to him and turned the remote back on. Barry screamed and fell back down as his whole body was in extreme pain.

"How does it feel? Can you feel your organs shredding apart inside of you?" Hartley said with a smile.

"Enough for now Hartley, there's no fun if he dies this quick." Eiling said.

Hartley turned the remote off as he spoke. "You're right it would be a shame for him to die without people knowing the truth about who he is."

Hartley moved back and Eiling stepped forward.

"Enough, what do you want from him?" Joes asked with a demand. He couldn't stand seeing Barry in pain. Even though he knew that Barry could heal fast, but he couldn't help but be worried about the blood that he was spitting up.

Barry rolled over onto his back as he tried to catch his breath. He made sure to keep his head facing away from the police, because he didn't want to risk any of them recognizing part of his face. Barry didn't know why no one was shooting, but he figured it had something to do with Hartley.

"Let's see how that barrier holds up." Eiling said before he snapped his fingers.

Another soldier came forward with thick black rubber gloves on his hands. He grabbed Barry by the front of his suit and he slammed him back into the barrier. His whole body filled with electricity and Barry couldn't help, but scream at the pain. Pain had become a usual thing in his life, but this time around everything seemed to hurt even more. Barry was also worried that because his speed was being blocked if he would heal as fast as he normally would.

"Stop it!" Iris yelled.

Eiling just laughed before he spoke. "Alright that's enough I think we made our point."

The soldier released Barry's suit and Barry collapsed down onto the floor. His body was shaking from the pain and it took everything in him to get his mind to focus. He could hear his name being called in his ear and he knew that the pain he was in must have sent out an alert to Cisco and Caitlin.

"Barry can you hear me? What is going on?" Cisco asked with worry.

"Eiling, Hartley, station, too dangerous." Barry said under his breath so no one in the room would hear him.

"Barry, your body is in a great deal of pain. You need to get out of there." Dr. Wells said.

"Can't, blocked my speed. Some kind of barrier to keep the cops back. Forty soldiers."

Barry started to cough and spit out blood. He knew he was in a dangerous and deadly situation, but there wasn't anything he could do right now to get out of it. His speed was blocked out so he couldn't run and his body was in a great deal of pain to go with it.

"We need to get him out of there. His body is in too much pain." Caitlin said.

"Too dangerous. Don't come." Barry said.

"Barry, we aren't just going to leave you there." Cisco said.

"Call A, it's too dangerous for you." Barry said.

"He's six hundred miles away. You won't make it that long." Caitlin said.

"I heal fast. Call him and tell him to hurry." Barry said with a cough.

"We'll call him and figure out how to block out the barrier. Barry you stay alive." Dr. Wells said.

"He's not going to make another six hours." Caitlin said.

"Then tell him to hurry. Cisco figure out how to break down the barrier." Dr. Wells said.

"I don't even know what type it is." Cisco said.

"Electricity, but clear." Barry said.

"Like an invisible force field. Cool. Ok I'll work it out and see if there is some way they can break through it." Cisco said.

Caitlin had already pulled out her phone to call Felicity after four rings she answered.

"Hello."

"Felicity we need Oliver. Barry is in trouble."

"Where is he?"

"He's at his work. General Eiling has forty soldiers and Hartley there keeping the police blocked out with some kind of barrier. Cisco is going to try and see if there is someway to break through it, but Barry is in trouble. He's there and they figured out how to block his speed. His body is in a lot of pain. You need to tell Oliver to hurry I don't know how long he has."

"We're on it. We'll be there as soon as we can. Just keep him alive Caitlin."

"I'll try, but without him here there isn't much I can do for him."

"I'll get the team on it. We'll see you soon."

Felicity hung up her phone and headed down into the headquarters. Everyone had been there looking to get ready for the night. Oliver and Roy would go out and just patrol the streets on the slow days. They were just getting ready to head out. Felicity walked into the room as she spoke.

"We have a problem."

"What is it?" Oliver asked.

"Barry is in trouble, bad trouble. They need our help."

"What did he get himself into now?" Oliver asked, but Felicity could hear the concern in between his words.

"General Eiling and forty soldiers showed up at his station along with Hartley." Felicity said.

"The Pied Piper?" Roy asked.

"Ya. Hartley used some kind of barrier to block out the police from intervening and Barry is there on his own."

"But he has super speed so what's the big deal." Diggs said clearly not seeing the urgency.

"They blocked his speed somehow. Caitlin said he was in a great deal of pain and she doesn't know how much longer he has. They can't get him out, they need us."

"Roy, Felicity you are with me. Everyone else stays behind." Oliver said.

"I can help." Diggs said.

"No, you need to stay here and make sure nothing happens while we are away. Let's go we need to move its six hours away." Oliver said as he grabbed his arrows.

"How bad is he?" Roy asked Felicity with concern.

"I don't know. Based on Caitlin's fear I'm going to say it's bad, very bad."

"Let's go." Oliver said.

The three of them headed out and Oliver got onto his bike while Roy and Felicity got into the car. They took off at top speed to try and get to Central City as soon as possible.

Barry tried to get his hands free from the cuffs that were on his wrists, but they were too strong.

"Eiling what do you want?" The Captain asked.

"You telling me you aren't just a little curious as to who he is?" Eiling said with a smirk.

"We know who he is. He's a hero. He's saved innocent lives and cops from being hurt and killed. That's good enough for us." A uniform said.

They all voiced their agreement and Barry couldn't help, but feel the love from fellow officers. He couldn't help, but wonder what would happen if they found out who he was. That he was the nerd upstairs and not some fancy billionaire hero. He was just the guy that got struck by lightning upstairs in the lab.

"I won't ask you again Eiling, what do you want?" The Captain asked with anger this time around.

Eiling walked over to Barry as he spoke. "I want the Flash." He bent down and grabbed the back of Barry's mask as he spoke. "Or should I say Barry Allen." Eiling said as he ripped the back of Barry's mask off.

"What?" Iris asked confused.

Barry still had his face away from the cops so Eiling stood up and put his foot on Barry's left shoulder. He pushed Barry back onto his back and kept his foot there on his shoulder pushing with all of his might right at the joint. Now that Barry was on his back everyone could see the side of his face.

"Oh my God." Iris said as she brought her hands up to cover her mouth.

All of the cops looked at each other and it was clear that no one had ever known that Barry was the Flash, the man that a good portion of them ignored. Eiling pushed down on Barry's left shoulder with all of his weight and Barry clinched his teeth together to keep from screaming out as his shoulder was being dislocated with a loud pop.

"It's remarkable really. I've been trying for years to make super soldiers and now here you are. Some little annoying nerd that got struck by lightning and now your body holds the secrets to my goals."

"I thought you said we were going to kill him." Hartley said.

"We are, but after we get all of the research out of him. Then you can spend days killing him slowly. Now I've heard you heal fast, let's see how fast you heal shall we?"

"There's got to be a way out of here?" Eddie said as he looked around.

"We can't go out the front, but what about the back?" Joe suggested.

"I'd be careful if I were you. The shield will electrocute anyone that touches it, and you are surrounded by it." Hartley said with a smile.

Joe looked at Hartley before he picked up his mug and threw it at the window behind him. Sure enough once it touched the window electricity shattered it.

"You're stuck here so you might as well enjoy the show." Eiling said.

"Eiling, leave him alone he's just a kid." Joe said.

"Just a kid or just your kid?" Eiling asked with a smirk.

"He's my son. Leave him alone." Joe said with worry as he looked down at Barry. He was clearly in a great deal of pain and Joe had never seen Barry injured before. So he had no idea if this was a common occurrence or not.

"Now he's a freak that will give me an army to destroy our enemies. Doctor run your tests." Eiling said as he moved back slightly to let another soldier come forward.

He was a little older than the others, but not quite Eiling's age. He went over to Barry, he bent down and took out a scanner.

"This will scan his body to see how it is made up. His DNA must have changed when the lightning struck him. If we can figure out how to copy his DNA and implant it into others then we should be able to replicate the results. I'll need to run some serious test though."

"Run them. I need to know just what his limits are." Eiling said.

"There's a lab upstairs." Hartley said.

"You can't duplicate it." Barry said with a heavy breath.

"We'll see about that." Eiling said.

"This is amazing. Do you know what you have here General?" The doctor said as he looked down at his screen.

"The secret to the ultimate weapon." Eiling answered with pride.

"Not just a weapon. His cells can regenerate. He's the perfect human test subject. You could inject him with deadly diseases and try to find a cure for them. His cells would just regenerate with healthy ones. The science you could learn from him."

"He's a person not some thing you can poke around with." Eddie said angry that this was happening to someone, but especially Barry. He didn't ask for any of this and instead of ignoring it he was using his gift to help people. To save lives.

"Not anymore." Eiling said.

"I just need a sample of blood then I can start the testing on it." The doctor said as he put the scanner away and picked up his blood kit.

"Once you have that we will start to see just how fast this little freak can heal and what weaknesses he has." Eiling said.

"Weaknesses are important if your enemies found out about them you could lose everything." The doctor said as he took a sample of Barry's blood.

"That's the fun part. Seeing just what hurts him the most." Hartley said with an evil smile.

"I'll get started on this right away." The doctor said as he put the blood vial in his pocket and headed up the stairs to Barry's lab to start the work up. He would have to transfer the files over to a Flashdrive but he could at least start the testing now.

"Now let's see what we can find out about you." Eiling said as he bent down and unzipped Barry's jacket to his suit. "I know from watching your battles that you don't react very well to the cold." Eiling snapped his fingers and held out his hand for something.

A soldier came over to him and handed Eiling a blowtorch. Eiling took it and turned it on as he spoke. "Let's see how your body reacts to heat then shall we." Eiling said as he brought the flame down to Barry's stomach and he held it there against Barry's stomach and Barry clenched his teeth to keep the scream from escaping. He could feel his skin burning and he knew that it wouldn't be long before it reached a third degree burn.

"Stop it!" Iris screamed and Barry could hear the hurt all clear in her voice.

Barry hated that Iris had to be here for this and Barry knew he just needed to hold on and wait for Oliver to get here. Oliver will be able to get them out of this. After five minutes Eiling moved the blowtorch away from Barry's side and turned it off. Barry couldn't help, but look down. There was a third degree burn on his right side that was covering almost his whole side. Barry knew that if his speed hadn't been blocked it would be healed within the hour, but with his speed blocked off he didn't know how long it would take. Barry was hoping there would be no nerve damage done if his body could regenerate cells fast enough to prevent that from happening. Eiling stood up as he spoke.

"Start the clock let's see how long it takes for that to start to heal up." Eiling said as he moved back towards his men. "In the mean time Hartley go search his computer and see if there is anything useful on it. Half of you go and get a parameter setup in case his nerd friends decide to try and break him out of here."

The men divided up and Hartley went upstairs to go through Barry's computer. Barry wasn't worried because he didn't keep anything here on his work computer that would be an issue. He made sure anything he had was safe at home. The only thing that Hartley would find is his board with his mother's murder, but that was nothing to be worried about. Barry tried once again to get out of the cuffs, but all it was doing was rubbing his skin raw. Barry took in a deep breath and he was doing his best to ignore the tightening in his chest. The bruising on his stomach told him that he was bleeding internally, the serious pain in his organs told him that they weren't healing very fast. Barry didn't know how long he could go on like this. He could see the clock and he knew that if Oliver left right away and drove as fast as his bike could go it would still take three in a half to four hours before he would get here. All Barry could do was hope he would be able to hold on that long.

Eddie went over to Joe before Joe had the chance to move closer to Barry who was still by the barrier. Eddie placed a hand on Joe's elbow before he whispered to Joe.

"The bruising on his stomach. He's bleeding internally."

"He's supposed to heal fast." Joe whispered back.

"Does that work if his speed is blocked?" Eddie asked with concern.

"I don't know." Joe said as he moved forward to go over to Barry.

Iris went to go as well, but Joe stopped her.

"Not right now. I need you to stay back where you are safe."

"His my best friend. I'm not going to leave him." Iris said with tears in her eyes.

"I know, but it's not safe for you to be by the barrier. Just stay here I need to speak to him about something."

"Did you know?" Iris asked with a slight anger to her voice.

"Yes I found out a few days after he woke up."

"Why didn't you tell me? His my best friend, we grew up together I had a right to know." Iris said with anger.

"Now is not the time for this Iris. We didn't tell you to keep you safe. We'll talk about this later." Joe said in his father voice that Iris knew not to argue with.

Joe went over to the Captain before going over to Barry.

"Captain, we need to try and see if there is some place this barrier didn't reach." Joe said.

"I'll have some men go and search its possible there is an area that it didn't work. We need to have a serious conversation after this."

"I know. He's not a bad guy Captain."

"I know he's not. He's saved a lot of lives including some of my officers. We need to talk and figure out how to handle this. How to keep this in house and not let others know. There's no telling what people would do if they found out about this."

"Thank-you."

"Don't thank me yet, there's still a chance that it will get out through one of his men. I'll have a few men scout the area and see how far this barrier goes. On a side note he has super speed and yet he can't show up to a crime scene on time." The Captain said lightly.

"What can I tell ya, some people are just born to be late. The Dean of his college told him his graduation was an hour earlier than it was supposed to be so he wouldn't be late and miss it." Joe said as the memory popped up into his mind.

"I might have to use that one day." The Captain said as he headed over to the men to get some of them scouting the area.

Joe headed over to Barry. His mind was filling up with memories of Barry when he was younger. The times he had come home from school with a bruise after being beat up by bullies. All the times he ran away to go and visit his father in Iron Heights. All of those nights he would sit on the bed with Barry, because he was afraid of the dark. Afraid that the man in the lightning would come back for him. All the times Barry and Iris would fall asleep on the couch watching movies. The day Barry was accepted early into College. His graduation day at just twenty-one. Barry had been a prodigy scientist and he wanted nothing more than to explain the impossible and unexplainable. He wanted to help people and solve crimes. The best way he knew how was through science and so when he graduated at just the young age of twenty-one and top of his class it was easy to get the Captain to hire Barry as their crime scene investigator. Now just four years later Barry was gifted at his job and now a Metahuman. Just four years later and everything had changed. Even though Barry wasn't his biological son, he was still very much his son and he loved him like one of his own. It was no question to him to take Barry in and not let him go into the foster system. Barry had always been gifted, a prodigy and he wasn't going to let him suffer through the system when he could take him in. Barry was his son and Joe wasn't going to just stand around and let him be killed or turned into some sort of human experiment for the Military.

Joe bent down on his knees close to the barrier, but not close enough that he could fall into it.

"Talk to me Barry. How are you holding up kid?" Joe asked trying his best to keep the worry and fear out of his voice.

Barry coughed and blood filled his mouth. Barry turned his head away and spat out the blood before he turned his head over to Joe. Joe could see the blood on the side of Barry's mouth and Joe knew that Barry was seriously hurt.

"I've been better." Barry said with a small smile. Joe knew he was trying to make him feel better and that was something that Joe admired about Barry. He was always trying to help people and make them feel better, even when he was in serious pain.

"You heal fast right?"

"Ya"

"So the damage done it's not going to kill you? You'll be able to heal on your own?"

"Normally. I don't know this time."

"Because of your speed being blocked?"

"I don't know how they did it, but I don't feel it, I can't call it. The last time it happened I was drained by that Metahuman. I wasn't able to heal as fast, because my cells weren't going at the normal rate anymore. I don't know if it'll happen that way again or not." Barry started to cough and more blood came out of his mouth.

"We need a plan. Where are your friends?"

"It's too dangerous for them. They can't fight them."

"So what do we do? How do we break this barrier?"

"I don't know. Cisco is working on it. They called Oliver. He's coming."

"That's six hours away."

"Four if he drives fast."

"You can't last that long. Plus we have no idea how long they will keep you here."

"What about your phones?"

Joe pulled out his cell phone only to see that he had no service.

"There's no service on it."

"Hartley must have blocked out the satellite."

"Be honest with me Barry, how bad is the pain?"

"Not as bad as it would have been if he used cold."

"Heat speeds you up and cold slows you down?"

"Ya" Barry said as another coughing fit shook his body and brought up more blood.

"The Captain is getting some men to look around to see if there is a break in the barrier somewhere."

"Everyone knows Joe. They weren't supposed to." Barry said and Joe could hear the worry in his voice.

"It's gonna be okay. No matter what happens it will be ok. We'll get through this together as a family just like we have always done."

"Iris." Barry started, but he was cut off by more coughing.

"Don't worry she's mad, but she'll get over it. She'll probably make you cook her dinner for a month knowing her. You just hang on we'll get you out of this. You'll be better in no time."

"Joe listen to me just in case I don't make it."

"Let me stop you right there Barry. You are going to make it. I don't care what you have to do you do it. You survive this and we will deal with the consequences later. Do you understand me?"

"It's bad Joe. It's never been this bad before. I don't know if I'll heal from it." Barry coughed before he was able to continue, but once the coughing stopped he didn't give Joe the chance to interrupt him again. "I just want you to know that I appreciate everything you've done for me. I lost my mom, but I have two fathers and I don't know where I would be without you. I love you dad."

"I love you too son and we are going to get you through this. We'll be sitting on the couch eating pizza watching the game this Sunday. Just rest and let your body heal. With any luck the mad doctor upstairs will be busy for a while and stall for time. Can you get out of those cuffs?"

"They are on too tight. I've been trying I don't know if I can."

"If they come off will that fix your healing and speed?"

"It should. Normally I would be healed in an hour or so. I don't know what these cuffs are, but Cisco needs to test them to figure out how they are doing this." Barry started another coughing fit and blood started to pour out of his mouth.

"Ok no more talking. Try and rest. We'll figure out a way to stall them."

"Be careful Joe. Hartley is dangerous and unpredictable."

"We'll be careful. Just rest."

Joe got back up and headed over to Eddie and Iris.

"Satellites are blocked. No one can get any signal and even the house phones are down." Eddie said.

"The Captain is going to have some men scout and see if there is a break in the barrier somewhere." Joe said.

"How is he?" Iris asked.

"He'll be fine." Joe said.

"Dad don't lie to me, not about this. How bad is he?" Iris said with anger and fear combined in her voice.

"He's bleeding internally, a lot based on the amount of blood he's coughing up. He's been hurt before, but the speed has always healed him quickly. With his speed somehow being blocked it might be slowing his healing down. He doesn't know not enough time has passed." Joe answered.

"We need to do something. We can't just stand around here and let him die." Iris said.

"He has friends coming, but it's going to take four hours roughly for them to get here. All we can do is try and stall for time." Joe said.

"Can he last that long? We don't even know if they will keep him here. They could take him away any minute." Eddie said.

"We don't have a choice right now. We can't call out for backup, we're stuck here in this bubble until we figure out how to break it. With those cuffs on Barry he can't use his speed. I don't even know if he's able to get the cuffs off if his speed will come back fully or if it will take some time to regenerate." Joe said with frustration in his voice.

"So what we just wait around for someone to show up? What if someone else comes in?" Iris asked.

"Eiling has men going to secure the perimeter he'll keep everyone else out of here. With only five men here Barry might be able to take them if he gets those cuffs off." Eddie said.

"Barry can't fight. He's never been able to." Iris said.

"He's fought before, but I don't know how much room he needs with his speed." Joe said.

"You've never seen him fight in close quarters before?" Eddie asked.

"I've never seen him fight. I've seen him run really fast, but that's it. You've seen him fight more than me." Joe said to Eddie.

"Ya, but he had a whole city block and he ran up and down buildings he wasn't stuck inside somewhere. He might not be able to fight in such a small area." Eddie said.

"I've seen him moving around a small area before. He fought Tony in the hallway at the high school and he was fine." Iris said.

"Ok say his healing isn't blocked by his speed being blocked. How long will it take him to heal?" Eddie asked.

"He said an hour or so, but I think he's hiding how much pain he is in and how injured he is." Joe said as he looked at Barry and could see that he was breathing heavy.

"He'll be fine Joe. We'll figure this out." Eddie said.

The Captain came over to them and he didn't look happy.

"We're surrounded by this shield. We can't get out."

"Barry said Cisco is working on a way for us to get out of this, but he doesn't know how long that will take." Joe said.

"What if we overpower it somehow?" Eddie suggested.

"Ya, but how?" Joe asked.

"I don't know." Eddie said.

"I don't know if we should be playing around with it. I don't trust Hartley. We don't know if he's done something to it that could make it blow up." The Captain said.

"Ya there is that factor." Joe said.

"Don't suppose Barry has anymore friends that could get us out of here." The Captain said.

"It'll take at least four hours before anyone can show up here. I don't like the idea of waiting around for that to happen." Joe said.

"There's no guarantee that Eiling will be here in four hours. He could take Barry and leave. Is there anything we have to worry about with those two up in his lab?"

"I don't think so. Barry wouldn't keep anything vital on his own computer, it would be in S.T.A.R. Labs." Joe said.

"There's got to be some way to get word out to people. What if we held up signs to the windows?" Eddie suggested.

"Eiling has men all around the building, we could be putting people in danger. Can he get out of the cuffs?" The Captain asked.

"He doesn't think so. They aren't normal handcuffs. Whatever they are, they are blocking his speed from him."

"How injured is he?"

"More than he is letting on." Joe answered sadly.

"That bruising is getting worse and not better." Eddie said as he looked at Barry's exposed stomach.

"He's bleeding internally. Whatever that remote was it did a number on his body." The Captain said.

"What was that?" Eddie asked.

"I don't know. Barry tells me a lot, but clearly he leaves out all of the times he gets injured. I'll have to talk to him about that." Joe said clearly not happy.

"He probably doesn't want you to worry Dad." Iris said.

"I still worry no matter what. I want to know about the injuries. I don't care that he heals fast I still should know." Joe said.

"Like I should have known my best friend and foster brother was the Flash." Iris said back.

"We did it to keep you safe. If you hadn't started that blog you would have been safe. This world he is now being forced to live in is dangerous and we didn't want you in danger."

"I know that, but I still had the right to know about it." Iris said.

"Look, we can discuss this later when we are not trapped in a police station." Joe said.

"I know, I know." Iris said clearly not happy about this situation or about being kept in the dark. She did understand though that this wasn't the place for this conversation and she would have to wait until later for it.

"I'm assuming if they cut out the satellite for our phones we probably have no Internet connection then." Eddie said.

"I've already tried we don't." The Captain said.

"Then all we can do is just wait and hope that help gets here in time." Joe said sadly.

"He's tough Joe. He has to be in order to have survived everything that has happened to him. He'll make it don't lose faith in him." Eddie said.

"I know he's strong, but there's only so much a body can take. I just hope he can heal fast still." Joe said as he looked at Barry.

"He'll be fine Dad. I know he will be." Iris said.

The spent the next half an hour just pacing around. If there was one thing cops weren't good at it was being trapped in a confined space. Everyone was trying to figure out a way to break out, but they just weren't smart enough. The burn on Barry's side was starting to heal, but the bruising was still as dark as it had been. Joe had just stood there watching Barry and watching his chest move. Barry had his eyes closed and Joe knew that he wasn't sleeping, but just trying to heal. It was thirty minutes later did Barry open his eyes and Joe could see the pain clearly in them. Barry looked over to see Eiling looking at a folder and speaking to the few soldiers that were left. He didn't see Hartley anywhere so he knew that he must still be upstairs with the mad doctor. Barry knew that he couldn't just lay here for the next few hours he had to try and do something. Barry did his best to ignore the pain in his body and he rolled over to his right side and forced his body to sit up on the side of his legs. Barry took a few deep breaths and he looked over to make sure his movement didn't go noticed. Once he was confident he could move without passing out he forced his body to stand up. He swayed slightly as his vision faded for a second before he was able to blink it back. Unfortunately before he could figure out what to do Eiling looked up to see Barry standing there. He closed the folder as he spoke.

"Well, well, well what do we have here? Feeling better Barry?" Eiling asked with a smirk.

"Take these cuffs off and we'll find out." Barry said in a challenging voice.

Eiling chuckled at that as he walked over to Barry. Barry took a few steps back and away from Eiling, but the soldiers in the room made their way over to Barry as well. It was all too soon before Barry's arms were grabbed behind him and he was held in place. Eiling just gave an evil, confident smirk as he walked over to Barry.

"Let's see how well you've been healing shall we?" Eiling said with a chuckle.

Eiling moved the side of Barry's jacket away so he could see the burn he left on his right side. It had only been thirty minutes, but it was already starting to heal. Barry knew though that if his speed hadn't been blocked it would have been healed by now. Burns always healed fast, it was the frostbite that took a longer time.

"It's already starting to heal. Impressive. Time for another experiment. You're a science nerd you'll appreciate all of these experiments." Eiling said before he pulled out a long hunting knife.

"Leave him alone Eiling." Joe growled out not liking what Eiling was clearly planning.

"Don't worry Detective, he heals fast remember?" Eiling said with a smirk.

Eiling turned back to Barry he gripped Barry's throat with his left hand as hard as he could, cutting off Barry's air. The soldier holding Barry's arms moved away and Eiling turned Barry to the left so his back was to the barrier. He slammed Barry against the barrier before he stabbed Barry with the knife right in the middle of his stomach and the others could see it going through the other side. Before Eiling pushed Barry into the barrier Eddie had grabbed Iris and turned her to face him and buried her face into his shoulder so she couldn't see this. That did nothing for the scream that echoed through the station. The knife conducted even more electricity and they could all tell Barry was in an extreme amount of pain. It was a couple of minutes before Eiling removed the knife and still holding his death grip on Barry's throat he slammed him sideways into the wall to his left. Barry smashed his head off the wall not being able to use his hands to stop himself and he collapsed down onto the floor, out cold. Eiling stepped back as he spoke.

"Let's see how long that takes to heal." Eiling said with a chuckle to his voice.

Joe couldn't do anything, but stand there in shock as he watched the red staining the white tiles. He could do nothing as blood began to create a pool around Barry.

The alarm going off on the computer in S.T.A.R. Labs caused everyone to snap their attention to the screen. They could see that Barry's vitals were bottoming out and it was causing them to receive an alarm. It was something that Cisco had programed into the computer and suit after Tony had first beat up Barry and he was unconscious in the lab for a couple of hours before they found him. This way they would be able to tell if he was seriously injured so they could go to him and help him. They all knew that they had to sleep and they couldn't keep track of Barry all day and night. This way it made it safer for Barry to be out at night fighting without someone constantly monitoring him.

"He's getting worse. He won't last much longer if we don't get to him." Caitlin said with worry.

"I'm trying to figure out how to take down the force field, but without being there I'm just not sure how to do it yet." Cisco said.

"Cisco keep working on it. Caitlin call Felicity and find out where they are and tell them to hurry. Then make sure we have everything set up and ready to work on Barry when we get him here." Dr. Wells said.

Caitlin pulled out her phone as she continued to stare at the computer screen watching Barry's vitals. After two rings Felicity answered.

"Is it over? Is Barry ok?" Felicity asked with worry to her voice.

"It's not over and he's not okay. We can't get any eyes inside the station. There's no cameras so we don't know what's happening, but his vitals are bottoming out. He's not going to make four hours. How far are you guys?" Caitlin asked with worry in her voice as she continued to stare at the monitors.

"We're three hours out right now. How bad are his vitals?"

"They are bad, really bad. His breathing is laboured and his pulse is erratic. He's losing blood I don't know if that's internally or externally either way he's not doing good."

"Can you send me his vitals to my phone so I can monitor them?"

"Ya I can do that. Hurry Felicity please he doesn't have long."

Caitlin ended the call and she leaned over to the computer to send the vitals over to Felicity's phone so she can monitor them from the car. Once that was done Caitlin went about making sure everything would be ready for when they were able to get Barry back here. Felicity looked down at her phone and called Oliver as she spoke to Roy.

"Go faster, Barry doesn't have much longer."

Roy put his foot all the way down on the pedal as Oliver answered.

"Ya."

"Caitlin just called. Barry's getting worse. She's going to send me over his vitals, but he's bad. We need to hurry."

"Can you send me his heartbeat and breathing to my Bluetooth?"

"Um ya, I can why?"

"So I can hear it."

"Ya I can do that."

"Let's hurry."

Oliver ended the call and he pushed his bike to go faster. Felicity was able to get Barry's vitals to her phone and when she looked at them she couldn't help, but worry. He wasn't doing well at all. She sent his breathing and heartbeat over to Oliver's Bluetooth and he was able to hear it. It didn't bring much comfort to Oliver to be able to hear the erratic heartbeat or the laboured breathing, but it at least told him that he was alive. Oliver knew they had to hurry or he wouldn't be able to save him. Oliver was not about to lose another friend so he pushed his bike to go as fast as it can so they could reach Central City faster and hopefully get to Barry in time.
