Rin knew not how this had happened or how he came to enjoy seeing some sort of smile on Amaimon's face.

He wondered though when the demon became less invested in just having 'fun' or toying with him and others to spend such a simple life here.

The young half-demon had often wondered when and where that shift had began while he enjoyed this life despite how busy he and his wife could be as exorcists and how strange their mutual husband was how this had even occurred.

Amaimon had shifted from thrilling over toying with Rin and the others through violent, mental, and mind controlling means to being a father and a loving one at that.

The switch almost made Amaimon seem more human than demon despite the fact that he was only a demon.

Rin wondered when he began to view his demonic 'brother' as more than an annoyance as well.

He wondered what had transformed his mind enough for him to enjoy cuddling up to Amaimon in the early hours after their wife had headed out to the shop to begin work.

The dark haired man still wondered though how Shiemi saw things and how she had came to enjoy the little things in life between the two despite being the only full human of the three.

He wondered how she had the strength possible to get through this and even raise a family in this unconventional way.

Shiemi would tell him that it was silly to question why this had occurred or how she managed it; she told him that she was strong and that her husbands weren't bad people at all.

That was enough of a reason in Shiemi's book, but not nearly enough for Rin who nearly worried since he'd grown up that something could go wrong and that their family would be torn apart due to that.

"Are you worrying?" While the voice seemed almost curious, Rin could tell how concerned his husband was for him.

"Not really." Rin sighed though he was cut off by a kiss that pushed the boundaries of decency while they were by their kids; it was enough of a distraction to temporarily take Rin's mind off of things.

"I don't believe you." Amaimon teased with a glint in his eye that both frustrated the younger of the two and had him delighted by it.

His feelings could be rather complicated and conflicted where Amaimon was concerned.

"I wasn't. I was just thinking." Rin argued back.

Amaimon's grin widened, "Oh, you're beginning to act like your brother. I didn't think that I married Yukio."
Rin growled and could not believe how so little had changed yet everything had changed as his kids picked sides as their fathers fought though mostly playfully as they really did not want to harm each other too badly or be found by their wife and sentenced to the couch and outside for the night.

Sadly, they couldn't pick whether she'd hear them and the kids, and Shiemi banished Rin to the couch and Amaimon to outside for the night as Rin turned to teasing his husband over where he would be sleeping.

Naturally, Rin knew that Amaimon would find a way in as this had happened before, and he'd be spending the night on the couch with the suddenly flirty demon.

Whenever Rin was banished to outside however, Amaimon just teased him from the couch as Rin stared in, looking all the more miserable and many of those nights had been rather rainy too.

Usually, that resulted in Amaimon teasing him about looking like a drowned cat or a very wet dog.

Rin hated those kinds of nights though may be he enjoyed their odd balance of a relationship a little and may be he liked the glint in Amaimon's eyes more than he cared to admit.

They'd be fine, and may be Rin knew this despite every worry of his.
