It's the night before Valentine's Day.

Stabler was stuck doing DD5s. "I hate this shit."

"Who doesn't?" Munch was doing paperwork as well.

"Why are we the only ones here?"

"Because Olivia actually did her paperwork today instead of pretending to do it while talking about basketball."

"Since when does she leave on time?"

"Yeah, she's been acting less and less like the workaholic we know her to be."

"Maybe she's got a boyfriend."

Just then, Brian Cassidy came into the 1-6.

"Cassidy, what brings you here?" Stabler questioned.

"Do you know if Olivia is on call tomorrow?"

"Nope, it's me and Fin, why?" Munch told him.

"I was going to ask her out for Valentine's Day. She doesn't have a boyfriend right?"

"She hasn't told us of anyone," Stabler said.

"Great." He made off with a grin on his face.

"She's going to shoot him down," Munch told Stabler.

"I think she's gonna shoot him."

How many times can she possibly turn that fool down?'

Valentine's Day

"I'm so glad you didn't take me to some stuffy restaurant," Olivia said as she sipped her wine. Alex brought the good stuff right to her.

"Why go to a place to get overcharged, be surrounded by awkward couples, and scramble to find a cab to take us home when we can have all the love we need right here?"

"Did you just say …"

"I love you Olivia Benson, and I don't need any day to remind me of it. I love you every day. I have for a long time."

Olivia kissed her lover. "I love you too."

"Prove it."

The couple didn't make it to the bed. They started to show their love all over the couch.

Brian had dinner reservations for 8PM, figuring it would give Olivia time to get ready; also the better times were taken.

He got to her door, red roses and chocolates in hand, but before he could ring the bell, he heard …"OH!"

"Olivia, are you okay?" He thought she might be in trouble

"OHH! FUCK!"

It sounded like she was having fun.

"OH ALEX FUCK!"

She was definitely having fun.

"I'm too late," he realized. This Alex guy got her first. Dejected, Brian went home to eat the chocolate, and he could just throw out the roses, or he could keep them in the vase his mother sent him, whatever.

The next day, Stabler and the others tried to tease Olivia about her night.

"How was your Valentine's Day?" Stabler asked with a grin.

"It was good, why?"

"Just wondering."

"Okay. How was yours?" Let me guess you bought Kathy a bracelet.

"It was nice. We went out to a steakhouse. I got Kathy a bracelet."

"Why do you always get her a bracelet?"

"Because he's too cheap to buy her a necklace," Fin teased.

Munch started cracking up.

"Shut up!"

While Olivia was at lunch, Cassidy came by the 1-6. He had forms to deliver to Captain Cragen. On his way out, Stabler asked, "how was your night?"

"It sucked."

"Olivia said no?"

"I didn't get to ask. By the time I got to her apartment, she was already fucking some guy. It wasn't even 7:30 yet."

"She never stays with the same guy too long," Stabler told her. "Maybe you'll have a chance next month."

"I guess. I just wish she'd give me a chance." He sulked as he went away.

"Why do you keep encouraging him?" Munch questioned.

"Because making fun of Liv is awesome."

Olivia came back from lunch.

"How's your boyfriend?" Stabler asked.

"What boyfriend?"

"Rumor had it you were having a good time last night, before 7:30."

"Who the fuck told you that?"

"A little birdie."

"Just because I may have had a good time, does not mean I have a boyfriend and your pervy ears won't hear anymore."

"What about my pervy ears?" Munch asked almost seriously.

She flipped him off.

"Oh why so hostile?" Alex teased as she came into the precinct.

"They're trying to figure who her boyfriend is," Fin told her.

"Who is your boyfriend?" Alex questioned.

"I don't have a fucking boyfriend!" Olivia yelled.

"Um that's fine Olivia, but what does that have to do with work!" Captain asked her.

"I need a break!" she stormed off.

Before Captain could inquire further, Cassidy came back. "I know Olivia is fucking some guy name Alex, but do you think Olivia would date me if I beat him up in a fight?"

Everyone stared at him wide-eyed.

"Okay, okay, bad idea," and then he left.

Everyone turned to Alex.

"I should go find Olivia, bye!" and she ran off.

No one had anything to say at that point. Stabler learned it's best not to tease Olivia about her love life.
