"Five Vignettes"
eins.
As two became one, the two knew they would enjoy the fruits of their success. Caring arms would encompass the other, and sweet kisses shared. Secret glances were passed between the two. If the others knew, they would mock and scorn. Only recently had they come into the open, assisted by two others who spoke of reason. Still, the others were wary.
Brown eyes gazed into broken blue ones, which looked down at his feet for a brief moment. With a strong smile, he stepped closer to his partner, wrapped his arm around his waist, and together they directed their conjoined Digimon to victory.
The former Kaizer, once broken, and now strong, planted a kiss on his friend's cheek. The others paused to acknowledge the motion; one looked crest-fallen at the absoluteness of the token. He knew, he was only within grasp in his dreams.

His dreams were vivid, lurid, lustful. He tosses and turns late at night, dreaming of the brown-haired angel. The beauty beside him wakes briefly to peer at her lover's face, concerned. His partner speaks nothing to her, despite having the same vicious dreams about the blue monster.
At last, the truth emerges as a small moan in the middle of the night.
"Daisuke."
Hikari is concerned for Takeru, but brushes it off as a nightmare. She sleeps in a false hope for normalcy.

They were older, much older. They knew how life was supposed to go, and how life went. They lived in secrecy, behind the cameras and behind their wives. Secret signs given to each other, standing too close while reviewing the latest run, smarmy jibes thrown at each other. Reaching out to touch each other backstage.
Their happiness was limitless when they were together. They shared their glad moments, their sad moments, what worried them, and what pleased them. They looked at the Hyundai with a smirk, as well as the sofa in the lounge.

They smiled together as they help each other. She fought hard and relished in her victory. The other made her look adorable, and yet the costumes were functional. She captured the odd-shaped cards, sealed them with a covenant and her name, returning to school the next day, as if nothing happened.
There was a boy, and she was torn. Was the doll-maker a good friend or something more? This is what she pondered at night, what distracted her from her homework and kept her up late. She couldn't decide which was right.

They too are older, but not by much. They had been through it all before, and counseled their younger counterparts. Their colors were blonde and brown instead of brown and blue/black. Never was one of them evil, but still they had their trials and tribulations.
At this point, they stopped hiding it. The truth alienated his younger brother and his younger sister ignored it. But the elder noticed the same in his younger; however, it was with the Kaizer's brown-haired angel. He saw the triangle, and he saw one leg was weakened. He knew it would never work, but stay hidden. A quiet longing.
