Sam hastily extracted Dean's cell and punched one-handedly.
"Operator. State your emergency—police, ambulance, fire."
"Ambulance. Car accident—hit a deer. M'brother's unconscious and bleeding-" The thirteen-year-old startled, feeling warm liquid on his left hand, clamped fiercely around Dean's right arm. Same arm that Dean had thrust between Sam and the windshield... Now Dean slumped against Sam; tossed sideways by the impact. "Badly."
"What's you location?"
"Route 23, two-three miles past, uh-" Sam scrambled to recall the last sign. "Cullen Road." Dad and his freakin' "backroads only" driving policy. Freakin' deer...
