I wanted to be a villain when I grew up. An Emperor of Evil, Criminal mastermind, or Dark Lord would be preferred now before you question about my parents- they were as loving parents as I've ever seen. They loved each other and loved me. I wasn't part of some criminal family, or even related to anyone in organized crime. Believe me, or don't – I know that I'm telling the truth. The day I met her was the last day I stopped fighting becoming what most would call bad. She was a siren, leading me into the rocks as I tried to steer clear from them. I was young and impressionable despite thinking otherwise, and that, is why I fell and could never get back up again after I met her.
She wasn't beautiful- but she was brilliant and wonderfully devious and cunning. Her eyes were an unusual shade of green, the shone like emeralds, her skin was pale and she was pickpocketing someone when I saw her. She was quick and she didn't bat an eye as she put it back in the pocket. My vantage point in the café facing the street was perfect for it. I admired her agile hands. Then I saw her look at me and I felt a shot of nervousness at her intense gaze. I looked away first then down as I continued to drink my coffee. I looked around at the street and saw no one there until she came to my table.
She wore a light pink t-shirt, lavender cardigan and black pants. She was holding a cup of tea before sitting down across from me. She leaned in and stared at me as she put her elbow on the table propping it up with her right hand. I looked into her eyes she smiled before nodding and mixing some milk in her tea. I pulled my chair back a little bit and hit the chair behind me. Her smile got wider.
"So, you saw that, did you?" she leaned back and drank her tea calmly.
"I couldn't help but admire your technique, skill and hands" I pulled my chair back in sitting at attention trying to relax.
"I see. Did you plan on reporting it?" She put her hand on mine in a sultry purring voice.
I couldn't help but scoff before replying, "No. I myself wouldn't be trusted thanks to a sordid past- It would be stupid to implicate someone else doing a crime when I shouldn't even be here myself"
"Thief?" she asked.
"Amateur booster and troublemaker at your service" I spoke with confidence that I didn't feel and she bought it.
"Do you have a name to go with your title?" she asked teasingly with a hard edge.
"My friends call me freak of nature- and so do my enemies. Between the cameras, guards, and coppers after me- I was caught and now need find another niche to enter while they are still on the lookout for me" I relaxed as the hot bitter liquid seemed to finally kick in without warning.
"Isn't freak of nature supposed to be six feet tall, blond with tan skin, and blue eyes?" she asked finishing her cup of tea.
"Of course, I'll tell you a secret though. I'm not really named freak of nature but it's what my cousin called me when I was young and stuck between the two of us. Annette Dursley is a vile witch and her fraternal twins are already her match. Mitchell is a mean fellow and Jane is her mothers' daughter." He said as he put down his coffee cup.
"Damn wizards. Most should be ashamed of themselves. Elementals are so much better at magic then those stick users!" She complained with a big grin.
"I'll have you know that I was taught wandless magic " I told her spinning around a small orb of light around my fingers.
"Think you can keep up with an air elemental, wizard?" she glared at me.
"I'd more than likely beat you if it came to a fight. I'm not so certain about a fair fight though" I stood up with her as we left to fight each other in private.
