A traitor. That's what the whole Order thought him now. Albus Dumbledore, the greatest wizard who ever lived and the only one that Lord Voldemort was ever afraid of was dead. They didn't know what was really at stake. Dumbledore had pleaded for him to take his life; it just didn't sound that way.
Right after making the Unbreakable Vow, an owl had been sent to Hogwarts, informing the Headmaster of what had happened. He didn't want to kill him, but Dumbledore had insisted that Malfoy wouldn't be able to go through with it. It was then that Dumbledore made him promise to carry out the orders. The regret that filled him was new and scary. It came from killing a friend, someone who believed when no one else did.
A tear slowly made its way down his cheek. Dumbledore had defended him when the other members of the Order thought that it would be unwise to bring a Death Eater into the Order as a spy. They all said that a servant of the Dark Lord couldn't be trusted. And now they thought that they were right.
Little did they know that Dumbledore had a plan in case something like this ever happened. Now he was going to carry it out. All that was left to do was to find Sirius Black, and convince him to help. Just thinking about Black made his stomach churn. The man who had been his worst enemy in school was now going to be his greatest ally.
How ironic…
