On a rainy day
Gene and Melfina were home alone; Jim, Aisha and Shizuka had left for the weekend on a job call. Outside, the rain was gently pouring, the shy was a dark gray and the lights in the city were hazed from the heavy fog. However, inside was warm, Melfina was quietly fixing hot cider for Gene and herself, who was napping by the rain washed window on the second floor. Then, there was a sudden bolt of lightening that lit up the entire shop and flowed was a bang of thunder that crackled and shook the building. Gene slowly opened his eyes, peering out the window at the rain and listening to Melfina's soft steps as she gently came up the stairs.
"Gene?" Melfina asked quietly. "Are you awake?"
Gene stirred, stretched his long muscular body; and the sitting up, he yawned.
"Yeah, I'm up." He looked over at Melfina with curious and pleasured eyes. "What's that?"
"Hot cider, I thought you might want something warm?" She said in the sweetest voice. She slowly walked over to Gene's bed and set down next to him; placing the warm cup into his hands.
"Yeah, thanks Mel." He said, as he looked at her with calming eyes. She smiled and blushed. He took a sip. "The rain, it's been pouring ever sine Jim and the others left. I like it."
Yes, I like it too; it's peaceful." Melfina replied. She moved her body closer to his. "I…I wish we could be like this forever."
"Hum, what?" Gene asked curiously.
"Oh." Melfina blushed even brighter this time and she lowered her head. She fondled with her cup's handle. "I mean… I like being here with you, like this, alone." She protested. Gene smiled at her.
"Hum, I like it too." Gene said, starring back out at the rain. "I like being with you Mel, I like every bit of it." He took another sip of his cider. Then he took Melfina's cup and his and placed them both beside the bed.
"Gene?" whispered Melfina, looking rather surprised at Gene.
Gene slowly placed both hands on Melfina's hips and drew her much closer to his body. Melfina, in response, placed her hands on his muscular chest. Then, Gene took her face in his hand and stroked it softly.
"I love, every minute of it Mel." He said with a pleasuring voice, and then placed his lips lightly on hers. Melfina felt her heart beat faster and faster as Gene pushed harder and harder, opening her mouth with is thumb and then sliding his tongue inside her mouth. She moaned softly. He finished the kiss and pecked her lips lightly again.
"Gene." Melfina said, and their heads parted. "Gene…"
Gene placed one finger on her lips, silencing her.
"I know I haven't made the attempt to doing anything since the Lay Line. But I want to change that, right now; Melfina, I want to love you the right way, from now on!"
"Oh Gene." said Melfina, tears rolling down her cheeks. "Yes, I want to love you too." Her grip and Gene's chest grew tighter.
Gene smiled, and took Melfina's face in his hand once more and drew her close. "I want us to be like this Mel, I promise to never stop."
"Ok." She said softly, and they brought their lips together again.
From this, Gene lead Melfina downstairs and into one of the bedrooms, he set her down on the bed and then locked the door. Gene and Melfina made love for the first time that night; as the rain continued to fall gently outside Starwind and Hawking Incorp .
