It was a nice quiet sunny day and everyone was out enjoying the sun during this spring season.

A small pink hedgehog called Amy, but also known as Rosy, was sitting on a park bench in a green top, orange skirt and purple shoes. Next to her was a blue hedgehog in red shoes named Sonic.

They were both just enjoying the sun as they sat peacefully watching people go by occasionally chatting before turning back to whatever caught their attention. Although after some time Sonic started to notice that Amy wasn't paying attention and was fixated on a couple, sitting a by the fountain opposite, cuddling, kissing making the most of their time together.

For whatever reason Amy could not take her eyes away from them to a point where they glazed over.

Sonic tried to get her attention.

"Rosy?" Sonic called but she ignored him.

Sonic started waving his hand in front of her face yet she still couldn't focus.

"Ames? Are you okay? Amy!" Sonic shouted finally getting her to snap out of her daze.

"Huh? Oh sorry did you say something?" She asked.

"Yeah, you kinda zoned out there." Sonic said.

"Guess I did."

They both sat back on the bench, but something was still on Amy's mind as she went back to staring at the couple.

"Sonic?" Amy turned to him.

"Hmm."

"Have you ever kissed anyone before?" She asked.

"What do you mean?" Sonic asked curiously.

"Like have you ever been with a girl and they kissed you… on the mouth?" Amy asked quietly.

"Well…umm…err…sure why?" Sonic stuttered.

"Oh well what's it like?"

"Err… it's alright. Why are you so interested?"

"Well… no one's ever… I mean… I've not... umm…I've never been kissed before." Amy said looking down embarrassed.

It wasn't that Amy never had the chance; she just wanted her first kiss to mean something and be special. She always pictured how it would go but anyone who liked her never seemed to be the right person and she never pursued anything with them.

"Really?" Sonic questioned.

He found it hard to believe that someone as love obsessed as Amy had never been kissed before.

"Well yeah, I mean I always pictured it being with someone I liked but, anyone who seemed interested in me just didn't feel right being with them and I didn't want to stay with them just to get a kiss so I've never really been with anyone or kissed anyone. Was your kiss with someone special?"

"Umm...well it will be." Sonic replied.

At first he thought all of this was just Amy's way to get him to kiss her, seeing as it was no secret that she liked him, but soon he saw how genuine she was and he felt bad, must be sad to realise that you've never been kissed by someone who cares dearly for you, in fact to have never been kissed at all. Then again he would know.

"What do you mean-"

Amy was about to say something but she was stopped by Sonic cupping her face lightly and pulling her face close to his. Their lips were millimeters away when he froze, she could feel his nerves but he took a short breath and closed the gap.

At first Amy was shocked but shortly after closed her eyes and embraced her first kiss.

Sonic was also surprised at how natural this felt he thought it would be weird, yet this didn't stop the counting in his head. Once he got to 5 seconds he pulled away slowly and gently giving each other time to adjust.

Amy looked towards Sonic before he answered.

"There was that special enough?"

"Yeah." Amy smiled back at him and they went back to sitting with their backs on the bench.

"Oh and just between us this was my first kiss too." Sonic said standing up.

Amy turned surprised to face him but he spoke before she could.

"You coming gotta get ya home some time."

"Sure" She said getting up and walking towards him.

He picked her up bridal style and she curled up into him.

"Thanks Sonic." Amy said quietly closing her eyes.

"You're welcome" Sonic whispered and started running her home.
