-1Author's Note: Don't own Lazytown, if I did it wouldn't be for little kids anymore. Just another short drabble on Robbie Rotten and his lovely Sportacus. Enjoy and review, please!
-----------
Robbie paced his lair fretfully. The villain was plotting. It was a plot that would not fail. It would be the small battle of a major war, but none-the-less a turning point. If he pulled it off, that was. He paced his lair, pondering each little detail so that it would be a success. It just had to be.
---
The next morning found Sportacus with a beeping crystal. That wasn't too unusual, so he hurried down to Lazytown and jumped from his ladder. What he found was Robbie Rotten up a tree, screaming for life and limb, while that purple mechanical dog of his growled fiercely on the ground.
The yells of the kids and the disregarded disguise beside them told the tale easily enough. Robbie was taking his dog out under the guise of a pet-shop worker and somehow the crazy canine wrestled him loose. The 'trouble' dog chased it's master, who fled up into a tree in failure.
Sportacus quickly flipped and somersaulted, landing on the tree branch that Robbie was on. He had to get Robbie calm, and fast, otherwise all his shaking and moving about (In the aftermath he had to admit, Robbie had looked so out-of-place being so active) might knock the tree branch out.
"Stephanie!" The hero called, quickly getting a pink little girl running for him. She stopped the dog, the same way as she had the first time. Sportacus grinned at Robbie, who had calmed considerably once he'd hugged him. "You can jump down now."
"No! It's a trick!" Also the same as before.
"No, it's not." Laughed Sportacus, "Come on, you can do it!"
"No! You're gonna drop me!" Robbie cried.
"No, I'm not. Come on, trust me." Sportacus held out his hand. "Come on, come on.." He cooed like a man to a scared kitten. Robbie jumped up and, as he tettered, grabbed onto Sportacus for balance. He held his archenemy in a bear-hug, crying out in fear as they wobbled on the narrow branch.
"Whoa!" Sportacus cried, wrapping an arm around Robbie's waist while he held his other arm out for balance. The shaking subsided and he quickly picked Robbie up, bridal style, and jumped down from the tree. The kids cheered, not for the safety of the villain, but for the mighty conquest of their hero.
Sportacus set Robbie down, or tried, but the napping man clung. So he stayed still, while fidgeting wildly, and held him in his arms while the tall man napped himself out. When Robbie began to wake Sportacus set him down and grinned. Robbie opened his eyes, looked around to fearfully check that they were not on the wobbly branch, and then looked back at Sportacus. "Thanks.."
"You're welcome." Beamed the hero, flipping off and leaving very wide-awake Robbie alone to savor his.. Victory.
