As night fell over the castle, the serfs were bringing in the crop of the day and the children were being called in for supper. After nightfall in the kingdom, nobody walked outside besides the creatures. The walls surrounding the castle and its surrounding farms and mills had not always been there, but all alive now don't have memory of its construction. It was around 150 years old and was as big of an apart of daily life as supper.
This is where the story begins. 150 years ago during the night, before the wall was built, the people of the castle heard a monstrous roar and the splitting of trees. From the surrounding forests burst for black creatures moving too fast for the eye to make out any features. 20 of these beasts sprinted towards the closest hovel to tree-line and attacked the peasants… there were no survivors. This happened every night for a year without any defense from the castle which was meant to protect the citizens. One night, the military leaders inside the castle saw that every attack, the creatures would advance further. Within a month, the castle would become under siege. They devised a plan to build a monstrous, 200 foot tall wall. Every day they would work, and at the night the castle would harbor serfs willing to work. Those unable were left in their hovels at night. This was how the wall was built, while simultaneously making a population of fit, working, men and women. After the wall was up, the creatures became nondiscriminatory between times of day. All day, every day, the army of the castle manned the walls keeping the creatures at a distance with tubs of fiery pitch and archery. This wall kept the cast safe but also destroyed connection with the outside world. The citizens never recieved or even got word from king's landing onj what their plan of action should be.
