His Apple
It has been SOOOOOOO long since I had written a TT fic and since I was talking about symbolism in my English class a few weeks ago, this idea came up. Enjoy!
The apple was just ripe, gleaming in the light. Beast Boy picked it up and found that he wanted it. He saw the skin on it and frowned, however. He didn't like the skin.
Leaving the apple, he left.
A few days later, the apple was still there, ripe as ever, but this time, he had gotten Robin to peel it for him. It sat there in front of him, a rich golden color.
Picking it up, he bit into it, but he bit so far that he tasted a bitter seed. Not liking this either, he left the apple once more.
When he came back the next time, though, the apple was rotten, decaying. The sweet gold had faded.
Reluctantly, he threw the apple away.
The next day, he walked down the street with his friends. They came upon a monster that could change its appearance. During the fight that ensued, he caught sight of a girl in a school uniform...a girl with cobalt eyes and blonde hair.
"Terra?"
That same day, he picked a new apple from the kitchen. The apple was just ripe. He saw that this one had potential to be just as perfect as the old apple. When he realized that the apple wouldn't change, though, he left it.
Let someone else have it, he thought, but I will never forget.
No. He would never forget his first apple...even if it had been poisoned.
I hope you understood that. I tend to ramble at times :P. R&R!
