"Can you believe our daughter is married?" Abbey asked as she danced slowly with Jed at Ellie's wedding reception.
"I'd prefer all our daughters be nuns," Jed grumbled as he swayed to the music.
Abbey chuckled. "You have to admit Vic adores Ellie. There's no way he'd ever hurt her."
"He's a bit of a nerd, but he'll be a good partner," Jed allowed.
"You're one to talk about being a nerd," Abbey laughed.
Jed spun Abbey around on the dance floor. "I am not a nerd!" He said indignantly. "I'm an intellectual…"
"Nerd?" Abbey finished, winking at him.
"Listen, I could continue this repartee with a snappy comeback. But, honestly, I've been having a hard time not ogling you in that dress. Then you wink at me, and I'm defenseless."
"Why Josiah Bartlet, are you suggesting we have a wedding night of our own?" She smiled at him coyly.
"The champagne and caviar are already upstairs," Jed smiled proudly.
"So you just assumed you'd get lucky?" Abbey asked with mock disdain.
"I know you can't resist my sweet ass in a tuxedo."
Abbey grabbed him tighter, bringing a hand to subtly squeeze his derriere. "I'm powerless to resist."
"Then let's get the hell out of here!"
