Prologue
I don't see any perks being the youngest. They're handicaps. You have to live up to your elder siblings. Try to prove to your parents that you can be as good as them. That maybe, just maybe you can do a little better.
Saying that the youngest gets whatever they want is a lie. We are constantly under supervision, not allowed to really do anything without someone 'trustworthy' beside us.
We are treated like babies. Smoldered constantly, coating us to stay babies forever.
You say we get off easy? No, we don't. We get yelled at just as often as our elder siblings, if not as often, the yelling we get is times two to whatever they get. They tear us down one-by-one with every single word that flies out of their mouths.
You say being the youngest has perks? To me, they're handicaps. Milestones we have to somehow cross over to make it to the other side. Then… just then we might finally be recognized as the people we wanted to be from the start.
