Randy walked in the moonlight, his face relaxed as his blue eyes stared upwards at the star filled sky. A breeze passed by him ever so gently, as if saying a soft, meaningless hello.

Though alone, the boy did not feel it. He felt as though the peace and tranquility offered him a different kind of companion, one that wasn't out to kill him or destroy him. Perhaps it was the fact the breezes seemed to hold him, blowing just hard enough to allow him to know they were there with him. Maybe it was the stars watching him, their guarding gaze there to reassure him that nothing would catch him off guard.

Lacking all that loud noise and violence and fast pace livelihood- at first Randy was concerned that maybe he wouldn't feel that comfortable with it. Maybe he would have felt out of place and would want to call up Howard or destroy something.

Yet as he walked, he felt his body relax. He felt the stresses of being a high school student and a ninja leave him.

It would last only for this night, sure, but it felt like some sort of security to the boy. For once, since becoming the ninja, he felt at peace with where he was, what he was doing, and who he was.

Sometimes he wondered if he was really the correct choice for the Ninja position, and sometimes he wondered about his friendship with Howard and how maybe he really was just being a bother to his best friend. He pondered when he couldn't sleep, that maybe, just maybe, he wasn't even meant to be here at all. That was he was in the wrong place.

But the gentle hold of the breeze and the starry eyed night told him otherwise.

They told him he was just where he belonged.

Writing these things cheer me up too yo. That and I'm in study hall, still addicted heavily to RC9GN. Whoopsies?
