Powerful. All consuming. Innocent. Destructive. Brilliant. Devastating.
Ideas are everything and nothing at the exact same moment. To build and tear down, just with the single thought that crossed anyone's mind at any moment.
So, when Superboy was sent flying from a rather hard throw from Monsieur Mallah and the inconceivable pain that came beforehe landed, the idea that something was wrong was rather prominent in his mind.
Although, to be noted, being thrown into a pillar of marble wasn't exactly like being tickled by daisies either.
But this pain was different. This was raw, pure agonizing pain. It struck through him like lightning, and he couldn't with hold the roar that came as a reaction.
Of course, his team paid no attention. It was possible that they thought that a) it was because he was being tossed like a rag doll by a rogue ape, and the pain that came with it or b) his usual rage in the presence of monkeys. Case and point, Superboy always had some sort of menacing sound coming out of his throat; you could almost make music with it.
And almost as soon as it had come, it had passed. Superboy lay panting as Robin used a birdarang to capture their foe, and everyone gave a sigh of relief, and dropped their stances, victory at last on their horizon. Kid Flash, gave a grin of victory, full well knowing that this moment had been coming. He looked at all his teammates (except for that bitch with the arrows. He really couldn't stand how beautiful her smile was), and when he turned to Superboy, he winked and tossed a light joke in the air at his expense.
Aqualad, the ever present calm of the team, let his shoulders relax into a more at ease position, slightly annoyed at the banter between the speedster and the archer, as she once again attempted to prove the boy in yellow's obvious immaturity.
Robin's simple, yet entirely out of place laughter rang through their ears like a wind chime.
Superboy pushed the idea of an anomaly aside, having more focus now on the girl with the auburn eyes as she walked towards him, with her hair blowing behind her.
The victor had no idea of the impact his fast lifestyle would have in the long run.
The leader may have been a capable one, but nothing would prepare him for the sacrifices he would need to play in order for the safety of his team.
The boy wonder was in more danger than ever before.
And the clone? Well he was in for one hell of a night.
