Big Time Words
Logan was good at using words. He excelled in his English lessons, and easily wrote essays in all subjects. But when it came to Camille and their relationship, words escaped him.
They were both very good at conversations about anything, but when the subject changed to their relationship, they would enter an uncomfortable silence. But it would always be broken by one or more of their friends joining them in wherever they were doing.
They weren't together, but they acted like they were. They would go out to the movies together, eat out together, share seats by the pool, and kiss, all on a regular basis.
Then on one day, they were sitting in the crib, and during the awkward silence, none of their friends were available to rescue them from silence (they were all busy and away from the Palmwoods). They had been silent for almost twenty minutes when Camille decided to speak up.
"Logan?"
"Mm?" Was all Logan replied.
"I'm serious with what I asked you earlier. What are we?"
Logan hesitated for a few seconds before answering. "We're a couple, but not official, I guess. Neither of us are willing to move on from each other, nor are we able to give up all the coupleish stuff either. I mean, we hide in supply closets to make out!" Logan shook his head. "I rushed when I broke up with you after you kissed James, and the only thing that's different is that we don't call each other girlfriend and boyfriend. Even in the band's 'Boyfriend' music video we went to the fair together. I guess we're an inevitable couple which belongs together." He was smiling while saying this. "So, Camille, will you be my girlfriend again, even though we were never truly broken up?"
"I would love to Logan." Camille told him calmly, but then she darted into his lap and attached herself to his lips. It had been a while since they had kissed like this, their lips moved with love and sweetness, almost like they were kissing for the first time. Then it got slightly more heated and Camille straddled Logan's waist. Unfortunately for the newly reformed couple, Kendall chose that moment to walk in. At first he didn't notice them, and just thought that he had entered an empty apartment, so proceeded to walk into the kitchen of 'The Crib', without looking at anything. He had grabbed a bottle of water out the fridge and began to drink it while walking over to the orange sofa. He took a spit take when he saw the making out couple, and it soaked them both, making them split apart.
Just the look on their faces made Kendall burst out laughing. They were both cover head to toe in water, and they looked surprised, angry (in Camille's case) and embarrassed all at the same time. Camille stood up quickly, and took the few steps towards the blonde boy. She raised her hand and slapped him. Hard. Even harder than when she slapped him when they first met. Even Logan cringed when he heard the contact.
"That was for soaking me!" SLAP! "That was for soaking Logan!" SLAP! "That was for not realising we were here!"
Kendall's face was red and sore, and Logan had to smile at his girlfriend's behaviour. It was typical of Camille to slap someone to get he anger out.
Then Kendall burst out laughing. He tried to stop it, but he just laughed harder at the brunette girl's confused expression. Logan came up behind his girlfriend, and when she turned to him, the confused look still on her face, Logan started chuckling as well.
"Boys are so stupid." Camille muttered, shaking her head. She then left the apartment without another word and the two boys were still laughing.
