First Kisses
"I'm sure Harry's kissing was more than satisfactory." Hermione stated, flushing ever so slightly, just like Harry.
"How would you know?" Ron asked, not noticing Harry's now redder face, as he had turned to face Hermione. "Why've you gone red?" He turned back to Harry to roll his eyes at Hermione's behaviour, but he noticed Harry's flush too. "You too Harry? What do you know that I don't?" He sounded slightly hurt.
"Well, you see, um Cho wasn't my first kiss." Harry explained, hoping that Ron would realise what he was implying.
"So who was?" The red head asked, and if Hermione hadn't been hiding her face in her hands, she would have laughed. Instead, she groaned.
"Hermione was." Harry explained. "...
*flashback*
Harry and Hermione were waiting for the moment when they would need to save Sirius from the dementor's kiss. They sat down on the floor of the Forbidden Forest talking about their primary school life.
"What were your friends like in Primary school?" Hermione asked.
"Dudley always made sure I had no friends. No one ever wanted to be caught talking to me or else Dudley and his friends would beat them up. That's why I call Hogwarts my true home. I have people who care about me here." Harry explained sadly. "What about you?"
"I never really had friends in Primary school either. Everyone was afraid of being classed as a dork if they hung around with a bookworm. I'd spend my breaks in the school library, so no one could come up and insult me - there was supposed to be silence in our library. I guess we were both lonely children." Hermione stated equally sad.
They sat in silence for a short while after that.
Hermione broke the silence with a question.
"So you never had any, um, girlfriends? Even a silly one, where you both didn't understand the true meaning of relationships?" This was spoken in barely a whisper.
"No. What about you?"
"No. Everyone else in my class did though. They'd tease me for it. I released a lot of accidental magic whenever they did that. I made two girls' hair get stuck together once. That was very funny when they tried to pull away from each other." Hermione giggled. "Did you ever have a first kiss though?" She asked timidly a short while later.
"No, and I know I'm going to be horrible." Harry groaned after saying this. "Have you had your first kiss?" He asked back.
"Nope." Was all Hermione said in response.
Silence.
"Do you want to be my first kiss?" They both asked at the same time, and they laughed nervously while nodding.
Carefully, they leaned in and their lips connected. Akwardly, their lips moved against each others. After a short while, they both pulled away. Both felt sparks.
Hermione was about to say something when they heard a howling from a distance. She sighed inaudibly and the pair watched the scene infront of them unfold and prepared to save Sirius.
*end flashback*
... So we were each others first kiss, and the topic never came up, so we forgot about it." Harry explained, and Ron looked a little happier.
They finished their conversation about the DA and they forgot about their previous one. The topic of first kisses never came up between the trio ever again, until one day Rose Weasley asked her mother about her first kiss. Hermione smiled fondly at the memory, wishing she hadn't been interupted by Lupin that night.
