But she wouldn't listen.

"I'm sorry Naruto, I can handle it anymore. I wake up screaming every night seeing his face!" Sakura shouted. Naruto gripped her arm. She yanked her arm away from him. The rosette turned around and looked at him clearly. "I have to leave. If I don't, I'll end up insane. That bastard is everywhere! He won't leave me alone here!!" Tears built up in her eyes, but Naruto wiped them away before they rolled down her cheeks.
"Every night you cry yourself to sleep.
Thinking, 'Why does this happen to me?
Why does every moment have to be so hard?'
Hard to believe it…
It's not over tonight,

Sakura leaned towards Naruto and gave him a kiss on the lips. While doing so, she pressed a small silver ring into the palm of his hand. Naruto's eyes widened.
It had been the promise ring he had given her for her 17th birthday.
Closing her eyes, she used her chakra inhanced strength to punch Naruto, causing him to fly over 500 meters away.
"The taste of her breath,
I'll never get over,
The noises that she made kept me awake.

Naruto regained consciousness hours later. He realized that he was too late. He now could never find Sakura again. Enraged, he destroyed several trees surrounding him, all the while tears stinging his eyes. Slowly, it started to rain, and Naruto laughed bitterly, realizing that Sakura loved rain. Rain hiding his tears, Naruto got up, admitting defeat.
"All the things I've felt,
I've never really shown,
Perhaps the worst is that I ever let you go,

Naruto looked out the window. The sun was shining, and cherry blossom petals fell beautifully. He was now Hokage, but it did not feel as good as he thought it would have. He wondered if Sakura was alright. Next week he was planning on visiting Kakashi's grave, but something told him to keep searching for the rosette. Most likely it would be Kakashi, knowing that he just wanted Naruto to be happy. A song was playing in the background. He knew the lyrics by heart, but he did not know who sang the song. Naruto leaned back in his chair, just listening to the song, feeling inspired.
