A/N: So, this is where I throw all of my Sailor Moon drabbles, when they're too short to actually be anything. Such as this little piece of work, which happens to be my take on Michiru. Inspired by Jet Wolf, and her comment on how 'Michiru probably just wants the ocean to shut the fuck up'.

Jet, if you read this, know that you're the one that's gotten me back into writing for these lovely ladies.

It spoke to her at all times. A gentle whisper in her ear, telling her not to be afraid. That she was protected so long as she was near it and, on this planet, there was always some form of water around.

Ocean, lakes, rivers.

Plants, animal, humans.

Rain, spickets, pools.

They all held water, and that was something that Michiru had learnt very quickly after reciving her henshin wand. A fact that she was never able to forget, no matter how much she tried to block out the sound.

It never left her. When she tried to ignore it, the sound of waves crashing and gulls crying and never ending wind, it turned from a calm murmur to a scream. Ear-piercing. Headache inducing. Until she thought that her ears would begin to bleed and she could take it - no more, no more, just make it stop!

So Michiru listened to the ocean, because she could not stand the sound of angry waters. Instead, she bowed her head and carried on, listening as it guided her through a mission that she did not believe in.
