Blaine Anderson was top of his class, was favorited by all of his teachers and classmates, was beyond loyal to his friends, and the lead soloist of the Dalton academy warblers. He was on top of the world and was the school celebrity. He was envied despite his homosexuality. One thing was off though, and everyone was beginning to notice. Why did Blaine always have doctor's appointments? Why did Blaine always miss gym class? And after mysteriously disappearing midyear why did he quit all of his sports teams? No one really talked about it, it was rarely whispered throughout the halls, but it was on everyone's mind. Of course, they made up ridiculous things, it is what all teens do, but it was never spoken aloud.

"Blaine!" I voice shouted from across the hall.

He turned to see Wes, the tall (everyone was taller) Asian boy waving towards him with a bright smile on his face. "Hey guys." Blaine smiled at the group of boys who were gathered around Wes.

"There's a new kid." Jeff the blonde said excitedly as everyone else rolled their eyes fondly at him.

"Really?" Blaine asked raising a perfect triangular eyebrow and stalking over to his friends.

"Mmhmmm…." Nick hummed while continuing to read his book, which Blaine noted, was "Alice in Wonderland"

We get new students at least twice a month, why is this so exciting.

"And is exciting because...?" Blaine asked.

Nick directed his dark brown eyes up to Blaine. "He was in show choir at his old school, they are making a plan to attack him and force him to become a warbler."

Blaine looked at them fearfully "The last kid you had done this to transferred stating that you had molested him." Blaine said seriously, giving David a pointed glare.

"I said I was sorry!" the African American boy wined in his defense.

Blaine rolled his eyes as the bell rang "Just...Just be careful." He sighed and hoisted up his messenger back before he dragged himself sluggishly to his next class.

As the bell rang, signaling lunch period Blaine worked his way thoughtfully to the cafeteria where his friends sat at their usual table.

"How did your plan go, to rape and kidnap the poor boy?" Blaine chuckled as he approached them.

"Actually it went quite well wouldn't you say Kurt?" David said turning to the tall blue-eyed boy sitting beside him.

Or are they green? Gray?

"Earth to Blaine," a voice began interrupting him. "If you are done day dreaming and are ready to join the real world why don't you come sit down?" Trent smirked.

Blaine glared and sat down taking a bite out of his apple to avoid conversation.

The boy had a beautiful clear voice and perfectly styled hair. He drew attention to himself naturally and was soon the talk of the school. He was shy and tried to keep minimal contact with everyone. He was blocked off sometimes as if he was living inside himself and his body was just an outside shell for looks and protection. This was not uncommon for new students. However, Blaine could tell there was something different something not right but he could not put his finger on it.

It was the last class of the day, gym. He was sitting on the bleachers when a body plopped down beside him. Kurt.

"What are you doing here?" Blaine asked politely.

"I have really bad asthma." He answered quietly then continued, "What about you?"

"I um, I just don't feel good." He answered lamely.

This is going to be a long year and He knew it.
