Sorry it's so short. This came to me while I was listening to a upbeat song. I'm not going to name it for fear of being made fun of. Sorry if it seems out of character. It's been a while since I've written some CI fic.

"Dance with me?"

Alex looked up from her drink to see her partner grinning from ear to ear. She simply couldn't understand what he was so happy about.

"What's gotten into you?"

Bobby laughed, "Nothing. You look down, so I thought I'd just cheer you up."

It was Alex's turn to laugh, "And how's dancing going to cheer me up?"

"If you'll dance with me, I'll show you." He held out his hand. Alex downed the rest of her drink and took his hand, letting him lead her to the dance floor. In the back of her mind, she noticed that the song that was playing was upbeat, not slow like she was expecting. The way things were going that night, she should have figured.

Still with a grin on his face, Bobby began to lead Alex in a dance full of twisting and spinning. With each move they made together, he noticed Alex's face brighten up more and more, until she was laughing and smiling. By the end of the song, they were both laughing.

A new song began to play, a slow one this time. Alex went to leave the dance floor, but was stopped by a hand on her arm.

"One more dance?" He asked shyly, afraid she wouldn't want to. She couldn't stop smiling, though, and that made Bobby slightly nervous. What had he unleashed?

She shrugged, "Sure, why not? Consider it a thank you."

"So, do you feel better now?" He asked once they were comfortable and in rhythm with each other.

"Well, Bobby, I got to confess . . . " She trailed off, placing her head against his chest so he couldn't see her trying not to laugh.

"Stop. I already know and I don't care."

Alex lifted her head, "Huh? How did you?" When she looked deep into Bobby's eyes, she knew, "Of course, I should have known I couldn't fool you."

Bobby pressed her head back against him and whispered in her ear, "If you wanted to dance with me, all you had to do was ask."
