Okay so I lied about not creating anymore stories...I just really like the idea of Reid bonding with a child and than I thought of Reid bonding with Jack and such.

Reid had been willing to walk Jack to school. Jessica was in a meeting and Hotch was working overtime. Desperate to find anyone being able to walk Jack to school he called Reid who answered groggily but quickly agreed.

They all still felt awkward around Hotch, unsure of how to say or act torwards him regarding Haley's death.

Reid was a little nervous. He wasn't used to being around children and he's only met Jack a few times. But he would be willling to do anything to help Hotch out.

He smiled at Jack as Jack walked out of the apartment with Jessica.

"Thank you so much," she said. "I'd take him but our buisness meeting is in the opposite direction."

"It's okay," Reid assured her. "I'm glad I live close enough I can help." And he was surprised of how close he really did live near Hotch. He did have to take a subway but that wasn't very long. He always took subways.

"You ready?" He asked Jack who shrugged and nodded.

"Guess so."

Reid made sure for Jack to hold his hand as he walked down the busy streets of Washington DC.

"Your dad wanted to be here," he felt like he had to say. "But-"

"He was really busy," sighed Jack. "I know."

Ried decided not to press the issue.

They waited for the coast to clear for them to walk across the street.

To this day Reid still can't believe that he didn't see it. He still blames himself.

The car came speeding down a mile a minute. His eyes got wide.

The only thing he could he could think of was getting Jack out of the way. He pushed Jack to the side.

Jack screamed as the slammed into Reid causing Reid to topple over the car and onto the pavement. Barely conscious he watched, unable to stop it as the person in the car opened the door and as they drove by Jack they also grabbed the kid.

"No!" Reid bellowed as they saw them snatch Jack before anyone could stop them.

It was then darkness and guilt consumed him causing him to pass out, his mind only on one thing.

Jack.
