1. Chapter 1

thank you all for choosing to read my first fanfiction. my grammar might not be the best in the first chapter but I'm improving quickly. and the future chapters will as well.

Chapter 1. A new light.

When it came to our home, When it blest us with its gift, all of humanity thrived for centuries.

until it came. A being that took everything from us. The collapse it was called as forever known as the event when half of humanity was wiped out. All of our progress to the stars destroy in an instant. all of the incredible things the traveler gave us. Gone, just like that. And that was the end of everything.

But despite all hope seme lost. a spark of light was born, when the traveler sacrificed itself. and repel the darkness. save humanity. And most of all the creation of the guardians. And this spark would only grow into a firestorm that would change everything. And who knows what new challenges will be introduced to humanity now

We don't know what it does, but if it's something the house of dusk sacrifice hundreds of their soldiers for, it must be something important. The hidden managed to track the pack of fallen that took the device to the ketch of one of the most ruthless archons of the house of dusk. TARVIS THE WIND SLAYER. Which is why you're at his ketch. "Zavala said. You must Infiltrate the ketch, put tarvis down, And retrieve the vex prototype," zavala said.

"Got it zavala. I and my fire team will retrieve the device and get it back to the city as soon as possible," Zaris said to his awoken commander.

Well then, in the words of another heroic warrior, LET'S SHOW THEM WHAT GUARDIANS ARE MADE OF. "zaris said.

The guardians ran to their opponents and transmated on their helmets, blood infused with light pumping. The first of the fallen to see the unstoppable charge of light was a couple of dregs,

Grif slid under the dreg arc pistol fire, he shot at his opponent's leg, the dreg fell to the ground in pain, and shear force of the shot throwing him of balance, then shooting the fallen dreg in his head killing him.

( 5 seconds prior). zaris glided upward then turned around in mid air, poled out his trinity ghoul bow, then shot the unaware dreg to confused on which guardian to attack. The Arrow pierced through the fallen's chest, with the lighting from the arrow coursing through his body, but surprisingly not killing him.

( 10 seconds prior). Quaren ran to the dreg that was shooting at him,

the dreg seeing that quaren was getting to close, reached behind him and grabbed his shock grenade , but when he turned back, he saw quaren was standing right in front of him, the dreg tried to hit the towering guardians standing in front him with his grenade, but he grabbed the the grenade inches away from his helmet, the dreg looked at the grenade then the titan, the dreg said something in eliksni, quaren assumed he said.

Mersey…

No," quaren said fearlessly.

Quaren punched the dreg with a solar fist of fire, sending him flying, his body burning away in a mesh of fire and scorching flames.

After that, the guardians camed back to the spot where the dregs were standing. They see the dreg that zaris shot, he was bleeding from the arrow in his chest, zaris walked to the dyeing dreg.

he looked at the dreg's glowing blue eyes, "You didn't run away like those two, you stayed and fight , i respect you for that.

zaris poled out his chattering bone pulse rifle, then put the dreg out of his misery.

Uu Guys, "grif said.

What, "zaris and quaren said.

Grif pointed at the rest of the fallen that were a the ship, charging at them.

Hurry quaren, towering barricade. "zaris yelled.

Quaren focused his power and created a wall of light.

zaris and grif got behind the barricade.

Ok, now what, "quaren said.

Now, well, fight, "zaris said with a small grin.

zaris ran out of the shields range. distracting most of the fallen firing at his fire team, the fallen with a new target open fire, zaris teleported out of the way, dodging all the shots. Then firing back at his enemy , killing 2 vandals and 3 dregs. zaris got hit three times, the 2 on the hadium plating, 1 at the cloth. zaris jirt, His light protected him from the arc bolts, and even if they did hit him, zaris has dealt with pain, and damage far worse than just a storm of arc shots, as all guardians have this light shield ability. zaris kept on firing.

Meanwhile, grif, picking off fallen one by one getting headshots on a few of the fallen. their heads exploded with a bloody pop from his veist sniper.

quaren joining in, mowing down fallen with his sweet business rotary cannon. then looking up, seeing

zaris flying over them, he then charged up his arc light, firing multiple arc swords at his enemy's, exploded in a tempest of arcing power.

Only 15 fallen remained, zaris seeing a chance, ordered quaren and grif to attack all at once. the guardians ran to that opponents, not caring about themselves, they went through hell and back multiple times. they had killed the black gardens heart, killed ancient hive gods, stop a techno organic plague, prevented a psycho cabal from taking their powers, destroyed super advanced vex mind trying to changing human history, and avenged a friend from a traitorous awoken, and traveler's know how many times they went in the depths of the Leviathan. Wanting to save the human race, has become sort of normal, but they could not lead overconfidence to control them,

zaris shot a arrow at a captained's head, and thanks to trinity ghouls exotic ability, vaporized one-third of the four-armed alien oppressors. As he hired the twang of his friend's bow, Grif and quaren throwed there grenades at them, killing the last of the fallen oppressors, but despite the force outside seaming dead, there were more or at least the ones that aren't alive, to begin with.

Two servitors appeared from behind a rock wall. The servitors surprised the guardians. The first servitor fired a void blast at zaris, his shield protected him from the void, but the force thrust him away. Quaren threw his hammer at the servitor that shot zaris, stunning it, griff contributing, pulled his veist death adder smg pointing it at the servitor, then he emptied the clip. The servitor exploded in a mesh of circuits frying, and ether reserves dripping out. But while the two guardians distracted, the second servitor fired, zaris jumping in the way, shielding his friends.

The void energy finally breaking through his shield, as it hit him on his arm. zaris felt the full force of the blast, it hit the cloth part of his armor burning it away, and his arm was severely burned with void. But zaris was not fazed by it, sure he did grit his teeth and flinched slightly, but he felt pane far far worse. zaris drowned his sword, and run at the servitor. The servitor fired at him, he teleported out of the way, then quickly slicing the servitor. As the servitor poled back from the two massive scars on its armor, zaris, killed it with a horizontal arc strike. As the servitor vaporized away in arc energy, the three guardians went in the ketch's open hangar.

zaris, are you ok, "griff said.

Ugh, im fine, remember we heal fast," zaris said in pane.

zaris's light began to heal his arm. His skin returned to normal, then the cloth around the area wary he got shot, began to reconstruct.

Suddenly the sounds of engines firing and mechanical noises behind them started to turn. And the hanger doors closed.

I'll take right. "Quaren said after reaching zaris's opposite door.

Then I guess I'll go middle, " Griff said to the confusion of the warlock in the titan as there was nowhere else to go.

Grif began crawling in the vent system, zaris went down the left hallway while quaren went down the right.

What. well then. That explains the vents. So the fallen would not have to hand out either manually. wait, is this ether toxic.

Uu no ether is obviously not toxic, In fact, this ether has traces of air.

As quaren and his ghost were arguing, a dreg attempted to get into melee range to them. Quaren quickly let loose his shotgun chambering a solar cell in the barrel, and then fired. The dreg blasted back, with quaren ducking back to cover.

Quaren shot back it to his conversation. the only reason why he thinks that is because he is left-handed. saying this as he threw his grenade killing the remaining fallen.

Well, it seems he's correct BECAUSE It HAPPENED THREE TIMES IN A ROWE.

Quaren talked back to her wall running down the clear hallway. Ok, one we shouldn't be arguing we need to focus. Two I have not gone to the right three times and it was a bad decision, let alone in a row.

Oh, really. His ghost said to him in a smug tone, then play back his memory's.

Quaren look at his memory's to that were projected to the left of him.

Quaren was standing in the cavern all alone. Seeing no reason to stay up here he jumped down the right hole. As the wind whistled behind him. The silence was stopped as quaren saw multiple spikes protruding from the sides of the hole. He tried to slow down but it was too late.

Zaris landed at the bottom of the hole. When he looked up he saw griff sharpening his knife on a rock that he was holding.

Quaren was cut off as he ran into a white gray and blue figure. After getting up he saw that the figure he ran into, was zaris.

Quaren there you are, I have been looking for you and griff. And please watch where you're going, I almost took your head off.

Quaren looks down and saw zaris had his sword in his hand.

Ok sorry, it won't happen again, and speaking of griff wear is he.

Literally right after he said this, griff fell out from the vents.

Ug, that hurt, "griff said getting up.

Oh hey, guys, what did I miss besides the ether gas.

Well no-, wait what ether gas, "zaris said confused.

suddenly the ether gas that griff mentioned, flowed out the hole griff made.

That ether gas." griffs ghost replied.

Well, this is interesting,"zaris said wall transmating a container in his hand.

Zaris use the container to suck up a sample of the ether gas.

Alright, I will examine this later. come on guys let's continue our objective.

The guardians finally made it to the bridge. tarvis is behind the doors, and the vex prototype as well.

The fire team walks to the middle of the room where the signal was the strongest.

Quinn then grabbed the side of the metal plate, Then with his strength ripped it off. underneath it was a large sphere, that zaris picked up.

Is this the prototype," griffs ghost said

Apparently so," zaris said not knowing his hands flowing with light.

The sphere opens up in a three-way split. And to the guardians and ghosts surprised, the vex sphere had a shard of the traveler within it.

But while quaren and griff were getting ready to get out, zaris was examining the vex sphere.

The beam fired through the window, Then the beam stop and created a massive portal. The three guardians just looked at the portal. It looks like it was made with light but it had vex smoke pulsing from it.

W what did you do, "quaren said in shock.

I don't know, "zaris said in shock as well.

suddenly The ship jirt with massive force.

The fire team was nearly thrown off balance. Due to this, zaris walked to the window to see what happened. He saw the ketch move forward, The guardian was confused, how was the ship moving, there autopilot wasn't on. But when a glass shard was apparently sucked out of the hole that the beam made. The moment that piece of glass flew through the hole, zaris knew exactly why the ketch was moving. It wasn't on autopilot, it wasn't being controlled remotely, it was being sucked in the portal

Zaris quickly ran to one of the controlled stations.

What are you doing, "Griff said confused?

The ship is being sucked in.

Grif and quaren ran to stations at breakneck speed. Grif started pressing every button in frantic distress. Wall quaren asked his ghost what the controls are. But no matter what they did, the ship wouldn't move. With nothing left to do the guardians and ghost just looked at the massive approaching white circle. looked at the light.

Everyone just looked at the ship, it was nothing they have ever seen before. It had one large thruster on one side, but judging by the shadow cast by it it did not have one on the other.

It had movable spikes, unknown symbols all over it, and the shape of it overall they had never seen

Ok, what the heck is that thing!" yang yelled.

Everyone didn't know what to think. They had so much stuff on their mind and the ship was not helping. Was it from the future? Was it build by a hidden kingdom on the remnant. Or was it an alien craft. [little did they know, it was]

But as the unknown ship back end was about to come out of the portal, it collapsed.

The portal close shut, severing 10% of the ship. The unknown ship then had several explosions across its hall, from the loss of the back being severed. The ship began to go down in a nose dive. it then crashed beyond the trees that the group can see over.

Wh, what was that "Ruby said in udder shock.

She scanned her eyes around and saw a window to what appears to be the control center of the ship. she curiously walked closer to the control center with the light from the sun shining in the window made it even more intriguing. she looked directly at the window pane facing her direction. She saw inside, were multiple computers screens attached by metal poles on the sealing. But she couldn't see much of anything else from the angle that she was at, and the angle that the ship was at. But at the corner of her eye, she saw something. She turned to see a small glowing light, She carefully looks closely wall walking slowly to it. As she walked closer, she saw it become clearer. But as a few steps more, she saw what was making the light. Weiss saw a small device that was shining the blue light through the window. Looking closer, she saw the shape of it. It was in a four-way star pattern on its face and its back. It had a metal glowing eye in the center of its face.

Weiss stared at the floating thing for what felt like hours. As she looked on with her eyes intensely, she noticed the floating metal eye thing whatever it was, was looking to its left.

as slowly as she turned her head to see that it was looking at ruby, crow, and all of her friends, and as slowly as she turned her head to see them she turned as slowly back. And to Weiss shock to see the small hovering eye encased in a metal shell was looking at her directly at her.

As soon as Weiss saw it, she jumped back. The device also jumped after seeing Weiss, its four front points slightly slide backward, showing it was surprised. It then ducked down.

Zaris's eyes shot open. All he could remember from him activating the vex device, to when he ended up traveler knows wear, was seeing a flash of light and being shaked him and his fire team around with force that would have killed any normal man. He groaned in pain as he slowly stood up with his light beginning to heal him. Zaris's ghost then materialized out.

Guardian are you all right, "zaris's ghost asked concerned.

Zaris look to his hovering friend, as his light healed him enough to where he could stand, "I'm hurting, but my light is healing me.

As zaris's light almost fully repaired his body he then realized something. He turned to his ghost, "wears quaren and griff.

He then got up to look for his fire team across the cascading wires, and scorched metal fragments across the destroyed bridge, "griff, quaren, where are you!

Im...here," a voice called out.

Zaris's eyes dotted around to see where the voice came from. He stopped when he Heard a groaned, He turned to see a large metal panel pushed of what it concealed. Underneath was a Certain armored hero that he knew like the back of his hand.

It's going to take a lot more than just being blinded by the light created by a vex/light portal, and being thrown around at a hundred miles an hour to kill me, "quaren said.

Zaris and quaren's eyes widened in horror. They saw griff impelled by a large metal beam. Looking at his eyes, they knew he was dead, But despite this gruesome seen being terrifying, it was normal. For it was an ability that all guardians ghost have, The ability to bring their guardians back to life. But despite this, they were still worried. As they looked, they called out for griffs ghost.

The ghost floated over to the dead corpse of his guardian. He then rekindled his soul. Griffs impelled body faded away in light, then reappeared in light. The light then turned into a body, then the armor, then all life returned as griffs body was recreated.

Griff then walked over to the device. He then picked it up, but after examining it, an expression form on his face that says. Oh, give me a break.

When griff turned, quaren was shocked, and zaris hand turned into fists, and he punched a wall. Griff looks back at the device and saw again what frustrated him. The device had a large jagged cut on it, which was deep enough to see a small crack that showed a the holey shard.

Zaris still had his fist still prest against the metal wall. He was trying to think what to do, but his internal panicking, and rage were getting in the way. One thing he knew, he needed to remain calm.

What's that," griffs ghost asked, as his voice echoed throughout the ship.

Zaris walked to the glass, to see a winter brewing on a forest. The trees were tipped with snow, and a mountain was beyond the forest. The warlock look to his left, to see the damage the ship caused in a… unintentional landing. He saw the disaster the ketch made when it's massive hall scraped the land behind them. The ground was dug up so deep stone was visible. Large bits of machinery and armor lade behind the ship, some even had blazing fire protruding out of the circuits and the decorative banners as it slowly ate away at them. But when he looked down, that's what surprised him. Zaris looked down to see three girls. Two of them looked like they were in their mid-teens, wall the other one look as though she was it her late teens. "guys come over here, "zaris called out.

Griff and quaren applied, and walked over to the glass and looked out, to see the three individuals zaris saw, with griff's eyes finally adjusting from one of his many resurrections. zaris and grif said confused. They then looked at the girl with black hair. And true to the titan's words, they saw two black cat ears on the girls head.

Because wall I was looking around mars, I found plans for something called a jump gate in one of the Clovis bray facilities. The scientist who designed it, describe it as a ring-like station, that uses a more evinced version of the NLS drive technology. The boy has a retractable cane, and the adult has a large sword with a gun mechanism, that similar to the mechanism that the red one has.

Silence falled the mangled bridge of the ketch. As zaris was about to speak, a young teen voice calls out with, hello, that echo throughout the ship.

Ruby, weiss, and everyone looked at the window to see a figure in blue and white armor, slowly rising up, wall holding his hands up, showing he wasn't a threat. Then two more figures then came out, also raising their hands. The one on the left wore purple and gray, wall the one on the right wore a copper like color, and had red in a few areas. The Three strange warriors looked at each other and around them, then talk to each other. They then looked at ruby, the one in blue and white gestured to her to move back. Ruby then walked backward, away from the window. She then saw him looking as though he was going to punch the glass, but to ruby surprised and confused to see that the warrior's hand was slightly open, and glowing. He then thrust his hand forward opening it, creating a shock wave in a cone from his hand, shattering the pane of glass. Ruby was confused and surprised at the same time at what she just saw, so she assumed that was his semblance. The gray and purple one then jumped out, doing a front flip before landing down thrusting his fist into the ground and kneeling, then getting up to his feet. The copper and blood one then jumped, crashing in a heavy shock wave, then also rise to his feet. The blue and white warlock looked down at his fire team, the girl, and five unknown strangers, he then walked back and then runed and then jump. Team rwby, crow and oscar look and were amazed, as they saw the warlock hovering down, with his body and armor glowing and letting off a strange Aare.

The three warriors then walked over to the huntsmans and hunters's. They were face to face with the guardians. Now that they were closer, rwby oscar and crow now got a better look at the guardians and their armor.

The Huntsman and hunters looked at the gray and purple hunter. He wore cloth will very little armor, with a roguelike design. meaning he preferred agility over defense. His helmet had a rectangular shape protruding wear the eyes would be, and there was a metal plate with a vertical slit on the mouth and had a hood and cloak like Ruby's, it was black and white and had the symbol of the ace of spades that made ruby try to hide her excitement. His chest armor had a mistral design to it, with there being a medallion on the right side of his chest, and hade a belt of throwing knives. His arm had a pauldron on his left shoulder with an elbow pad on the same arm. The other arm had a gauntlet, but no pauldron and his leg had thin armor, that went from the thighs to his ankles.

They turned to the fiery titan in front of them. There was so much armor on him he looks like an atlas mech. He dawned a copper-colored knight-like helmet that had a single slit where the eyes would be. On his shoulders, he wore large metal armor pauldrons made out of a copper-like metal. The legs had multiple armor pads, but they were a different design from the rest of the armor and was also had a banner that had a camo pattern that was painted red, that hanged to his side. And finally, his large armor chest. it had a fire going across the lower body And a crest that had an emblem of two crossed hammers.

And finally the warrior in blue and silver. His chest had an ornate blue armored plate with a crystal in it, on his upper chest, that slimmed down to his waist. On his upper back, was also an ornate blue armor plate, that slightly protruded outward. And pauldrons over his shoulders that were curved, And on the top of them they had two triangular metal plates on each one, that stretched along the top, and curved outward. His forearms had ornate gauntlets with a silver latch, and a crystal in the middle of each one. And his upper arms had gray cloth, which was laced was silver cords. His waste had an ornate robe that was open at the front in silver gray and blue. His legs had armor that had ornate metal, and a crystal that went from his knees to his ankles. But his helmet was the true attention grabber. It had a crystal visor on the front and had cloth on the forehead, that went around to the back. As for the crown part, the arches of it were made out of crystals and were attached to a metal ring, that was part of the helmet.

So I take it that you are wondering who we are, where we are from, and how we got here, "a teen voice calling out the from the blue and white armor.

Well, yes, " said the yellow teen, " we saw your ship crash after it came out of that portal so we came over to investigate, what happened.

we crashed here after we had an encounter with the fallen, "another teen voice said from the copper and blood armor.

The remnant group looks at the guardians with udder confusion.

The guardians look back at the Huntsman and hunters's, equally confused. But then the leader of the fire team realized something. If they were in another world then, of course, they wouldn't hear about the fallen.

The guardians just standing there their minds pondering on what to say. which without patients, crow then address them.

the guardian then proceeded to take off his crystal helmet, witch the other two guardians then proceeded to do the same.

The remnant group saw the faces of the three unknown warriors. The warlock had pale skin and cyan eyes. His hair was black and was slick Forward in the front, The sides had a style similar to Ruby's hair, but was trimmed slightly and was boyish, and also he had blue highlights in his hair.

The gray and purple hunter was then unmasked. He had blond hair like vomit boy, (lol), But was smooth and burst to the lower left of the face. He had green eyes and pale skin.

The copper and red titan helmet were removed to show a standard skin color, with a slight tan. He had light brown hair, that was messy, with it being slightly longer on the right, as well as having purple eyes.

Ok, that's better, im zaris, "the warlock said. He then held his hand out to the hunter, "this is griff, " griff then held his hand up, and then let it fall loose. And this is quaren, "zaris said wall quaren gave a polite nod.

The warriors of remnant look as though their jaws drop mentally. The warlock, hunter, and titan walked to an area of the crash site, to have a private conversation. They saw them put back on their helmets, ones they got to a safe spot, "does anyone want to talk about them, "ruby asked.

Weiss was still shocked by the words that the guardians said, "How have they not heard of remnant. It's like they just popped out of nowhere, "She then realized ruby was talking to her," sorry ruby, what did you say.

Ruby and weiss looked back at the guardians, and saw the same floating robot thing materialize out, next to zaris," what is that thing. "ruby asked.

Just then, two more of the floating robots materialized out, one next to quaren and one next to griff.

The robot next to quaren was similar to zaris's but was red and white, and there were two armored panels the top and bottom triangular points. Griff's one was different from the others, instead of the four triangular points, it had three that were pointing in different directions, and had five white stripes along the left side of its face.

After the guardians were done with there... Conversation, that came to the idea the they must have been teleported to another star system, Or another galaxy with human life. And if they were going to have any hope of finding a way home, that would have to go to the most technologically advanced faction on whatever this, remnant is, and see if they can fix the vex device. But before the fire team leader could ask anything.

Sorry for interrupting you but what are that floating th." the white girl replied but stop at the end.

Everyone was confused, even griff and quaren didn't know what was going on.

No one could feel it, but zaris could. Do to him having a sort of six sense as a warlock, he was able to sense it. His eyes closed slightly to focus, to focus on it, as it slowly walked out of the mangled hall that was ones its ship. It raised its gun and put one of its three fingers next to the trigger. Zaris's eyes widened, as soon as it finger touched the trigger. He then spanned around, poled out chattering bone, and fired two bursts.

The huntsman's and hunters were thrown off guard by zaris's gun fire. His rifle made a strange gun sound that none of them had heard before. But they remembered there training, and poled out there weapons, with griff and quinn doing the same.

They looked to the ship to see several four arm creatures with cloaks and masks crawling out of holes and hall breaches of it.

Ok, all of you stay here, we will put an end to th-. "Zaris said but was cut off at the end, as all of the people he just met, were charging at the fallen. He was confused, but it wasn't an important thought and joined the battle.

One of the creatures let out an alien-like war cry, that signaled them to attack. Some of the creatures charge at the guardians, Huntsman, and huntres's, wall the rest stayed at the ship, to provide covering fire, and reserves.

The warriors then charged at the opposite side of the soon to be a battlefield. Ruby then use crescent rose to propel herself forward. She then slashed a dreg when she landed, and brought her weapon around, then slashed two vandals at ones. After that, ruby saw griff jump over her, but then some how, jump in mid-air, avoiding two shots of some sort of electrical energy.

He then fires two shots from his revolver at the two vandals that tried to shoot him, killing them. The hunter then did a combat roll when he landed. Around him, there were multiple fallen, ready to attack, they then charged at him. He fired at one of the charging fallen, and then brought his arm around at a 180 to his shoulder, then fired at the vandal behind him, killing it. Two dregs attempted to gun down the hunter, but he spun around avoiding the shots and then shot the first one with his arm state, but the two fallen got two shots on him, taking his light shield's down to 77%. Griff holstered ace and grabbed death adder. He then roundhouse kick the dreg that shot him in the back, wall at the same time a captain tried to set the hunter ablaze. Grif spun around and duck under the fire from the captain's gun, wall at the same time firing death adder and killing the dreg instantly.

Ruby then stuck her scythe in the ground, then fire two shots at the creature but a shield made out of a blue energy protected it.

Griff saw the captain noticed the girl with the scythe, then charged at her. Griff then pointed his smg at the captain, but just as he was about to pull the trigger, ruby smacked the captain with crescent rose, sending him to griff, which he accepted the gift by stabbing the captain with his knife, which stopped it. griff forced the captain down, then use death adder to finish it off, with void energy spadring on its face.

2 seconds after saying this, ruby saw griff run towards her.

Ruby then duck down, then saw griff chuck a circular device at a direction, then turned her head to see a group of creatures shooting at her. the circular device that griff through landed on one of the creatures chests, The device then exploded, creating a purple smoke. Ruby herd the creatures choking, then saw griff run toward the cloud of smoke, He then jumped into the air and spanned around. He then materialized a long knife made out of some purple light, holding it backward. He then slashed vertically down.,And a wave of energy of void light, that made the smoke explode in purple light, as well as making a giant energy scar in the snow. Griff then landed back down, then got up with a heroic Stan's, then ruby speeded over to him, with sparkles in her eyes.

OH MY GOSH THAT WAS SO COOL HOW DID YOU DO THAT WHAT WAS THAT PURPLE STUFF THAT WAS AMAZiNG," ruby said.

Griff looks at ruby, with a smile forming under his helmet, as he was amused by ruby's childish personality, as it reminded it of himself.

In the middle of the conversation, an explosion went off, which caused them to look the direction of it. They saw zaris fighting against more of the four arm creatures. He was using some sort of compound bow, shooting an all around him. He then noticed ruby and griff standing still, talking to each other.

Zaris then run off to another part of the battlefield.

But left his blind spot open to an attack. Weiss attempted to stab the creature but stopped when she saw blake speed over, slashing the side of the vandal, sending it flying. Blake turned gambol shroud into its gun form, then fired on them, killing two, and injured the other three. Weiss then got up to blake, and fired ice lances at the incapacitated creatures, and froze them in place. Then Weiss and Blake saw zaris run to a group of the creatures near them.

He then ran over to a vandal, teleporting to avoid its arc energy fire. Zaris then appeared behind the vandal, then slash vertically, cutting the vandal's head clean off. Zaris materialized away his sword and materialized out his rifle, and started to fire upon multiple shanks, dregs, and vandals. And then, blake and Weiss then arrived, Weiss made a grand entrance by slashed one of the floating robots that were shooting at her and destroying it.

Then, he fired perfect paradox to get it out of the dead creature's head, then use the force to increase the striking power of his fist, which he used to punch a dreg with the added force. Quaren then started running, to yang and crow, who were still fighting. He saw yang continuing to shoot her shotgun gauntlets shells at dregs, shanks, and vandals alike. The knight, seeing an opportunity, slashed tarvis across his chest, sending him away, and his sword slipped out of his hands and stuck carved deep into the armored panels of the ketch. Tarvis, however, managed to stop himself by thrusting his hand into the ground that was covered in armor that ripped the already mangled snow, stopping him. Tarvis stood up and shook his head in rage. He looked at the summon with rage, but on the right he noticed something. A human girl wearing a dark blue dress was kneeling in front of a large glyph, the same glyph the knight he was fighting came out. Looking at this, tarvis then new that she was the one who was keeping the knight here to fight him. But instead of attacking the girl, he ran to the knight she summoned, he wasn't one to throw away a challenge, Let alone one that was his size. Weiss's summoned swung it's sword horizontally at tarvis, but he uses his gauntlet to block the attack, then uppercuts his lower left arm at the knight, breaking its guard, and knock it to the ship. Tarvis then grabbed his sword, and with one quick motion, yanked the blade out, then swung in a 180, and finally, the blade came in contact with the summon neck, severing the head from the body.

Just then, zaris came running to yang, holding a cylindrical device in his hand. He then crouched down next to her, then fiddle with the device in his hand.

What are you doing, "qrow said.

What does it look like i'm doing, i'm trying to help her. "Zaris said angrily.

Zaris then removed his gaze from qrow to yang. " ok yang, hold still this is going to sting, but it with get you healed in a few days.

Yang complied, she lied on her back, and closed her eyes. "Just get it over with.

Zaris then pressed a button on the side of the device, and a small point extended out. He then put the point of the tip of the device on the edge of yang's wound, slightly hovering it over. He then began to trace the edges of her wound with some blue mesh, which caused yang to grit her teeth from the sting. Zaris then finished tracing the wound, then took off the point. The blue mesh on the edge of yang's wound began to glow, and more mesh growed out into the middle of the wound and completely covered it. The middle of the mesh then lower, covering the inside of yang's wound. Zaris then pointed the other end of the device at the mesh covered wound. It then sprayed out a ice blue colored mist. The mist felt cold, at least to yang since it was being spraed on her. The spraying then stop, and as the icy mist cleared, a hard ice looking material was over the area of ware yang's wound was.

How do you feel. "Zaris asked.

Well it feels a little cold, but it doesn't hurt.

That should be expected. Your leg will heal in a few days, just don't do anything big and you should be fine. " zaris said wall helping yang up.

Ruby then walked a few steps in the direction of the trail then turned back to everyone. "Ok everyone let's go.

They all started to tread across the snow covered path, hopefully, leading to some ware. Before everyone walked of, zaris took one last look the ketch, then put his head down.

Zaris then return to the envoy of his fire team, and the warriors. Zaris's mind pondered these, huntsman and hunters's, though he did not currently know a lot about them, they seemed to be similar to guardians, judging by the one he just met, at least in there own way. How even little did zaris know, these hero he greeted would become his greatest allies, and there truest friends.

The hero's walked along the twisting path they crossed. To them, it felt so very long, only a couple of minutes had passed though. So much was on there mind. Ruby and her team found out that a person they thought they could trust, lie to them about so many things, and the constant roadblocks there hitting only made it worse. But they couldn't give up now, that got so far they just need to move forward.

They all stop dead, not daring to make a noise. Listening carefully, everyone heard what Blake had originally. A sound of a metal hinge swinging back and forth was heard. Everyone followed the noise. When they finally reached the source, they were both relieved and surprised. They found a farming village. however, it scenes better days. Most of the wood of the buildings were rotting, several holds were forming on the outside. 2 of the homes were demolished, and to top it off, the crops looked like they died long ago. At the front of it, all was an arched sight with the words.

Then they saw what was making the noise. A rusted gate was swinging forward and back which caused a squeaking sound to form from the hinges. Qrow then grabs the swaying gate, and open it enough so the young warriors can walk through. Once they were behind him, qrow walk through the entrance, shutting the gate behind him.

Zaris then looked around then. The calm snow forest it once was, now is a blizzard storm that engulfed them, and the village. If they didn't get inside soon, they would all freeze it death, or just the ones without immortality, (if i may be so bold). Zaris was about to ask qrow for him to do it. But before he could say anything, after another push and pull, qrow finally got the door opened, and everyone went inside, except zaris.

Before coming in, zaris look down, and slaps his hand against his helmet. "Why am I being cut off so much today, "then coming in.

The interior of the house was in much better condition than it was outside. None of the paint was chipping off, most of the furniture was intact. And the fireplace was ready to burn.

Well this will be a good place to settle for the night. "Griff said.

Upon reaching the second floor, they all saw weiss fallen on the ground with a look of horror. They turn to what she saw, and their face went white than the snow surrounding them. A king size bed in the back of the room, and sleeping in it, were two rotting corpses.

Ruby blake and Oscar were just as horrified as Weiss. Yang looks as though she was going to throw up, but she held it in. qrow was trying to process what he was looking at. And then there were the guardians. Quaren was horrified like everyone else, but wasn't scared, and keep a straight face. Griff was also horrified, how ever took a deep breath and was com. And then there was zaris. Truth, was he just as horrified as everyone else, maybe even more. he was speechless at what he is seeing . but hey is strong, he fought and kill greater horrors then this he was a guardian. though he did feel fear, just a little.

Griff then walked slowly to the body's, and unholstered ace of spades. Upon reaching the man, griff put his hand on his neck.

A-are they. "Ruby try to say.

Griff turns back everyone and shook his head.

Weiss was rapt in a sheet, still horrified at what she saw. Griff ruby and blake were comforting her like older siblings to there little sister. Yang was trying to start the fire. And qrow zaris and quaren were checking the other houses. Finally, after a hours, the warlock titan and qrow, returned.

It's like the hole village went to sleep and never woke up. "Zaris said.

I don't want to stay here anymore then you Weiss, but the storm is getting worse. There's no way we will get a mile before freezing to death, let alone seeing anything. "Zaris said upset.

Zaris looked at griff, then to quaren, and took off his helmet, with griff and quaren following. Zaris and quaren put their helms on the table in front of them wall griff put his on the nightstand to his right. And turned or raised their heads to the warriors of remnant. Ruby had a look of curiousness and excitement. Blake and yang had suspicion stabbing at them. Weiss was still shaken from what happened, but try to focus on what was going to be said. Qrow had the face of an interrogator. Maria just looks at them with a smile. And Oscar was interested, but look as though he had his mind on something.

With all of this piling on him zaris took a breath. "well, the story of us and our people all began 700 years ago, when a being we called the traveler arrived in our solar system.
