(This is just a little story I made up in Science class. It's about a chibi Sora, and her mom.
Personally, I find it kinda sweet.)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~* I Love You, Mama*~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Sora! Go to your room this instant!" A tall woman pointed at a young girl as she shouted.
Her shiny chestnut hair was piled on top of her head in a tight bun, and her cheeks were splotchy
red, in irritation. The girl that stood in front of her ran a finger through her own, bright
orange hair, before hanging her head. Her deep brown eyes filled with tears, and she rushed off to
her bedroom.
The woman sighed, as she knelt down on the cold floor, to pick up the pieces of a shattered
blue vase, her favorite. She hadn't meant to yell, but then, the vase which her daughter had
broken was one given to her by her mother, and she had hoped to pass it down to Sora in turn. She
sighed, and left the pieces on the floor, to pick up in the morning.
Sora crept out of bed, yawning slightly as she padded towards the tiny kitchen. She
reached up, and flipped the light switch. Harsh yellow light flooded her eyes, and she blinked
several times before her eyes adjusted to the setting. Translucent blue shards of glass were
all over the kitchen floor, just as they had been when she had knocked the vase off of the counter
top. Even the elegant white flowers, hyssop, she thought, were strewn about the threshold. They
lay in a puddle of icy water, which Sora discovered after she stepped in it. The water soaked
through her thin socks, and darkened the pattern of flying soccer balls.
Sora first grabbed a dish cloth, and began to clumsily wipe up the spill. At last, she
succeeded, and tossed the wet cloth in the sink. She then took a tiny whisk broom out of the
closet, and swept up the shards of glass. At least, that's what she meant to do. In reality, the
broom went flying when she slipped on a small puddle that she had missed. Finally, she had cleaned
up the worst.
Sora climbed up on a chair, and reached for another vase. She had to stand on the
very tips of her toes, and stretch her fingers out, but she got it. A crystal bottle, that caught
the light when she twirled it back and forth, like a hollowed out diamond, she thought. It was
her favorite, and her mama's second favorite. It made the light all sparkly and colorful. Sora
could have spent hours just sitting there, watching the glass make tiny rainbows on the wall. She
laughed in delight, startling herself with the noise.
Sora took the flowers in her small hands, and painstakingly arranged them in the vase, full
of water from the tap. Sora had watched the water come out of the tap, and run down the sink,
like a little woodland stream. It was the simple things that she took pleasure in, making her the
loving girl she was today. Even now, the sight of the tiny white buds filled her eyes. She gasped
as a floorboard creaked behind her. It was her mama.
"Sora?" she said, brushing her bangs out of her eyes. "What..." She trailed off as she took
in the scene, a little girl, in very wet socks, holding out a vase full of flowers. She smiled
warmly, and gathered Sora into her arms. Sora nestled into her mama's embrace. She yawned once,
rubbing her eyes with chibi little fists.
"I love you Mama." she murmured.
The folks at Toei do,
