Prologue
"You ready for your next assignment, kid?".
"Yeah, yeah. What is it?" His eyebrow twitched at the word 'kid' but he didn't bother replying to it.
"There's this girl." Mustang's eyes wandered over to Edward who sat leaning on his elbow upon his desk with his chin resting in his palm with a complete bored expression on his face. "She's like a ghost to the Military," Mustang continued and returned to his stack of paper work. "But it has been assured many times that she does in fact exist and is breathing. One of the key ways of identifying her is that she has an animal companion with her, a Rottweiler dog. Said to be protective and cautious, a nasty piece of work if you ask me."
"I didn't," Edward grunted.
"Aren't you going to ask what's so special about her?" Mustang chuckled."Why, what's the point when you're obvious going to tell me," Edward shifted his position and sat back on his chair with his arms and legs crossed over one another.
"It doesn't hurt to be a little sociable, Fullmetal."
"Just get on with it, will you? You're wasting valuable time. I could be off researching."
"Well, isn't someone in a mood today?"
"Damn it, Mustang. Okay, what is so fascinating about the girl?" Edward's leather boots clicking on the floor with impatient.
"They say that she has the ability to raise the dead but not through the means of alchemy."
Edward blinked and did a double take. Did he just heard that right?
"Well, you didn't expect that now, did you?" Mustang watched as Edward's expression transformed from boredom to surprise. Mustang leaned forward, resting his elbows on his desk and resting his chin on top of his overlapping palms. "Now that I got your attention, how about I continue with your new lead?"
New idea with a new character, no idea where I'm going with this yet, I have deleted Alchemy and Witchcraft as I have lost interest with that story.
So, tell me what you think so far.
BTW, does anybody know how tall Edward is supposed to be?
