I slowly open my optic. I look around and see a lot of white shapes with legs that look like me. "Hello?" I am startled to hear a voice leave me from somewhere. As the line moves down I hear a male human announcer who I dub 10001110010 or Sammy. "Template" "Hello?" "Response" "Hello". after seeing a turret without white plating say something else get thrown into the incinerator I decide I'm supposed to say hello.

"Template" "hello?" "Response" "er.. Hello?" Sammy studies me closely before letting me pass on. Soon I see a test dummy and I shoot at it. The conveyer moves on. I am them deposited into a white room. I look around and see a woman in an orange jumpsuit enter. As she knocks down other turrets one by one, I close my optic knowing I am next.

Chell POV: entering the newest deathtrap I see a bunch of turrets in a line. Smirking and rolling my eyes, I shoot a portal behind them and start knocking them all down. I'm onto the last one and I see it close it's optic tightly. Wondering why I poke it and it teeters a little before it puts out a leg to steady itself. I instantly know this one is different and pick it up. In a trembling voice it yells, "Help! Help! Somebody help! I don't want to die! P!ease dont kill me!" Eventually it grew silent, although it still whimpered. Spotting a hideyhole I dropped it and it teetered before stopping itself and trying to creep away. Shooting a blue portal into it and an orange portal in the wall I grabbed it again and brought it in there and, using some paint I found, demanded for him to tell me everything.

Turret POV: The human forced me to tell her everything. So I told her everything in my life so far. She sat, shocked I think, and stared at me. She wrote on the wall saying that, somehow, I was more sentient the an the other turrets. 😱
