Disclaimer: I own nothing. All characters and stories belong to TNT, Tess Gerritsen, and Janet Tamaro.

A/N: Here's a cute little Rizzisles. Remember when I said that I don't write femslash (for those of you who read my last Rizzoli & Isles fanfic)? I do now. Please review. Thanks. Love, Lawabidingchild.

Kiss Me

Jane Rizzoli sat down on her couch after a hard day at work. She just put a serial killer behind bars. She didn't want to think about what would happen if he got out (because there is no death penalty in Massachusetts).

Her thoughts wandered to Maura- how beautiful she is and how much she needed her at that moment. As if on cue, someone knocked at her door.

She checked the peep hole. Maura stood outside, waiting to come in. When Jane opened the door, Maura strode in cautiously. She saw Jane looking a little frightened and relieved at the same time. She sat down beside her best friend. "What's wrong, Jane?" asked Maura.

"That last case," whispered Jane. Maura reached out for her back.

"It's okay sweetie," cooed Maura.

"No it's not, Maura!" yelled Jane suddenly. Maura glanced at her curiously. "Damn it Marua! When he pulled that gun on you and couldn't decide whether to kill you or not, I almost lost it. Maura," she looked at her, "I can't face losing you again. Even if I don't lose you, it's hard to even come close."

Maura pulled Jane to her. "It's okay, Jane," she said, stroking Jane's hair.

"No it's not," argued Jane, "I can't lose you. You have to understand that." Maura had no response to her, and Jane had tears to match. She just held her head to Maura's chest. "I...I love you Maura."

Maura was speechless. "Maura?" asked Jane.

"I love you too, Jane," whispered Maura.

Jane pulled away slightly from Maura. She wanted to look into her amber eyes. "Then prove it," Jane ordered through a half smile.

"How?" asked Maura, brushing Jane's curls out of her face.

"Kiss me," ordered Jane.

She did.
