Hiccup

It was one of those days. You know, the days that you feel like... yak dung. Those days that you just don't want to do anything, just sit down, relax, take a break from everything... yeah, those days. Since I'm chief, and it had only been three months since Drago attacked, I barely have free time. Barely. Every day, I have to be working, and I don't have days off. This was harder than I expected... mostly since I don't have my father by my side. But I always think of something, as Astrid said once and I will think of something.

"Oohhh, Hiccup!" Astrid calls and pats my shoulder as I turn around from drawing something I'm planning to build.

"Morning, Milady." I greeted her with a kiss on her cheek.

"Oh, I haven't had one of those in a while." she said.

"You know I'm busy," I say, "don't you think I'd rather be with you, on a romantic flight out in the moonlight?"

"I don't know. Do you?" she replied.

"Of course I do!"

Astrid laughs a bit, "Okay, well, I know you're busy, but do you wanna come to the dragon race tomorrow? At least this once?"

I think for a while, gazing into her beautiful blue eyes. Had they always been this beautiful? Astrid's face slightly tilts a bit, in confusion. I then realize I'm staring, "Oh, uh.. maybe," I answered, "gotta check with Toothless, too." Now that I mention Toothless, where in the world is he? I woke up this morning and didn't see him.

A smile plastered over Astrid's face, I know how happy it makes her to be with me, "Then see you tomorrow."

I nodded as she then exit and went back to her dragon, Stormfly. I resumed my work before I hear a thud behind me making me turn around once again. It was Toothless, he purred at me when he saw my face.

"Toothless, where were you?" I asked, stroking his head when he walked over me. He does a small snort, then began purring at me scratching under his chin. He loves that. "Are you up for a dragon race tomorrow?" Toothless quickly starts wagging his long tail and smiles, I'm pretty sure he missed doing that.

Time Skip

"What do you say, bud? Want to give it another shot?" I ask as Toothless replies with a worried sound. "Toothless, it'll be fine!"

I remembered when me and Toothless didn't have to worry about having people to take care of. We were unstoppable and always exploring new places such as Itchy Armpit.

I lay on my bed as Toothless was snoring peacefully on the floor. I looked out my bedroom window and saw the stars. It's a good night to go on a flight... I look at Toothless, knowing he wouldn't want to but it would be fun. I hop off my bed, put on my boot and wake up Toothless. He opens one eye and looks at me, then closed his eye again and covered his face with his tailwings. "Come on, Toothless, just a short night flight." Toothless lifts lifts his head up and looks at the door, trying to make an excuse. "Okay, if you're trying to make an excuse to not go, there's no excuse because mom won't notice." The Night Fury does a small groan and stands up. I hope on him and we jump out my bedroom window, to enjoy a nice moonlit flight...
