"Uh... My head..." Jack woke up and rolled over. It was dark and his head hurt, "Could somebody turn the lights on?" he mumbled.
"The lights are on Jack" he heard a voice say.
"Oh god I'm blind!" he cried out, desperately trying to untangle himself from what felt like a tonne of pillows and bed sheets.
Jack finally managed to free himself and light flooded in.
"Ah! I changed my mind, turn the lights off again." He scrunched up his eyes and rubbed his temples, "Doc? Kenzie?" he called out, but no one responded then turned to see himself stood very proudly in the middle of the room. He eyed his double suspiciously, expecting a sudden movement. But it was almost like it couldn't see him.
"So, good looking. You come here often?"
"I am the TARDIS voice-visual interface, I am always here." The double stated with a natural smugness.
"Right, what happened last night, why don't I remember anything?"
"That's the effect that hyper-vodka has on most species, Captain."
"Hyper-vodka?" Jack rubbed his temples, "They let me drink hyper-vodka? How many did I have?"
"I do not know."
"Well... of course you wouldn't... Oh god. Last time I drank that I ended up in bed with both of my–" He jumped out of bed and headed for the door, "I gotta find the others..."
"You are sooo dunk." McKenzie said in an annoying cutsie way to The Doctor as they sat together on the bench by the console, "You are such a light weight!"
"Says you..." he replied in the same sort of voice, "You're as drunk as me and you didn't even drink anything!"
"Duuuh it's because you're that drunk... Cos I can feel your drunk emotionens." she giggled.
Jack stared at them, looking like he was about to puke.
"I am going to bed." He announced, then stumbled off down the corridor.
"Don't get lost!" The Doctor said, not really paying much attention to him, "So what drunk emotions can you feel from me now...?"
"Well, there's drunk happy... That is agiven... Then there's–" she gasped.
"Whaat?" he swayed drunkenly, gazing into her eyes.
"Nooo... I can't!" she covered her mouth, looking worried, but also trying not to laugh.
"Whaaaat..?" he leaned closer to her.
She giggled, getting as lost in his eyes as he was in hers.
"Take me to my room!" she got up and kicked off her shoes.
"Oh...?" he tried to smile charmingly, but failed drunkenly.
"Nooo! Not like that... Told you I couldn't tell you anyways... Let's go!" she jumped on his back and they fell to the floor.
Jack wandered down the many corridors in the TARDIS and stopped at McKenzie's door, he knocked and the door opened.
Jack slowly crept inside and switched on the light.
"Uuugh..." he heard The Doctor groan from under the covers.
"Morning, sunshine." Jack said as he looked over The Doctor, "At least I think it's morning."
The Doctor rolled over on to his front burying his face into McKenzie's pillow he took a deep breath in and smiled, however as he moved his sheet slipped onto the floor revealing his completely naked form.
"Uh, Doc?" Jack asked.
The Doctor seemed to snap out of his daze, suddenly feeling quite a chill. He quickly moved his arm and felt his back, feeling much more skin than he had anticipated.
"Uh, Jack... Where is my sheet?" he asked, not looking up from the pillow.
"Oh, it's exactly where it needs to be." Jack said smiling.
"Oh god... How much did we drink last night?" he tried to pull the sheet back up with his foot.
"Apparently I drank hyper-vodka, I don't know about you or..." he thought back to his discovery about McKenzie back in the hub, "McKenzie... Do you know if she drank at all?" he tried not to sound worried, as not to give anything away.
"Why don't you ask her?" he sighed, curling back up into his sheet. He patted the side of the bed next to him thinking he would find McKenzie there, but she wasn't. He sat up abruptly letting a hell of a lot of different thoughts and theories run through his head as to what could have happened last night, "I'm in McKenzie's room..."
"Yep." Jack nodded, as he leant on the doorway.
"She's not here."
"Nope."
"You're here?"
"Yes."
"And I'm naked."
"Ooh yes." Jack offered him a very cheesy grin as he tried not to burst into laughter at the look of panic on The Doctor's face.
"I need to get some clothes on."
The Doctor threw the last of his clothes on the floor and climbed into bed.
"I'm so tired..." he mumbled letting his eyes close, barely able to stay awake.
McKenzie lay next to him.
"Why did you take off all of your clothes off?" she asked rolling over to face him, but he was already fast asleep.
He snored loudly next to her. She giggled and got up, he was having a particularly nice dream about her and the further away she was, the less she could sense it.
"Right, so you woke up, then you came and found me...?" The Doctor asked.
"Pretty much." Jack smiled.
"Ok... I'm really trying to remember how I ended up there and if it was with McKenzie, because if we lost her–"
"Calm down, she's around here somewhere I'm sure of it."
They headed down the corridor to the console room and looked around. The Doctor stretched and rubbed his lower back as he leant on the console.
"Hurt your back old man?" Jack asked, grinning impishly.
The Doctor raised his eyebrow at him, then rolled his eyes. He then noticed McKenzie's boots left haphazardly by the doors. He ran over and looked out of the door.
"Where are we?" asked Jack, heading over to him.
"Space." he said closing the doors, we must have moved last night– wait!" he rubbed his temple and tried to remember, "We ran through here after we got kicked out..."
"We got kicked out?" Jack laughed.
"Yeah... I don't remember why. We moved out into space and... She took of her shoes and asked me to carry her to her room. She jumped on my back and we fell on the floor."
"Explains your injury, not why she wasn't there when you woke up, do you remember what happened when you got to her room?"
"Unfortunately no..." he shrugged.
"OOOOOHH We're half way theeeerrre... WOOOAHOOAH Living on a praayer!" Jack and The Doctor sang drunkenly on the stage, everyone cheered equally drunkenly.
McKenzie laughed so hard she fell out of her seat.
The Doctor had wrapped his tie around his head and he and Jack were both waving their 5th hyper-vodka around as they sang.
"Alright... That's quite enough for you..." a bouncer came over and picked up McKenzie.
"B– but I haven't even drunken anything?" she mumbled.
"Likely story!" he held her by the collar of her jacket.
"Doctor!" she yelled.
The Doctor heard her yell and he and Jack came running over. He held out his sonic-screwdriver and they both assumed an ass kicking pose.
"Where's the trouble! I'll save you!" he yelled taking hold of McKenzie.
"Right, all three of you, you've had way too much. Time to go. It's not even karaoke night..."
They looked up at the angry looking DJ and laughed.
"Come on then, time to go"
"You can't carry all three of us out!" said Jack, smirking.
The bouncer raised his eyebrow at them and pressed a button on his wrist strap.
They were teleported outside.
"Huh... I guess he can." Jack said.
When they eventually found McKenzie she was curled up in a long brown trench coat on a table in the wardrobe, slightly snoring in a small sort of squeaky way.
"McKenzie..." The Doctor said quietly.
"Huh... what?" she suddenly snapped up, "What year is it!" she shouted, "Ouch..." she rubbed her head, "I didn't even drink anything last night...?"
"Not that I remember... But what if your empathy has something to do with that?"
"What, you mean like because you guys were really drunk, I was as well?"
"I suppose so. I mean it's possible"
"Great... Don't suppose you lads remember anything about what happened... particularly why I'm sleeping in the wardrobe?"
"Well, The Doc had your room..." Jack said, suggestively, "You two were getting pretty loved up when we got back, I remember that!"
She looked shocked and turned to The Doctor, "You mean I... we? We didn't... did we?"
He shrugged nervously, "I don't think so, I mean I don't feel–"
"Shususuhshush!" she snapped at him.
"Do you ever think we'll remember what happened last night?" asked Jack, trying not to laugh.
McKenzie and The Doctor shared a slight look of worry, then laughed.
"Probably not." said McKenzie.
They all laughed together.
"Come on, it's just a bit of fun!" Jack said as he pulled them to the door, "The 637 space station has the best bars I guarantee!"
The Doctor sighed, "I don't know if I really want to trust your judgement on bars..."
"I'm sure it'll be fun." McKenzie added, "I mean, I won't be drinking, my head is feeling a little funny as it is."
"Oh yes! Right! McKenzie, you shouldn't drink– Especially not with a headache..." he said nervously.
"Are you sure?" asked The Doctor.
"Yeah, plus someone's got to look after you two." she smirked.
"See! All good." Jack smiled.
The Doctor rolled his eyes, "Alright, but we won't drink that much..."
