(Follow up to "It's just a one night stand (nothing to be in a fret about)"
Prompt #200 (First Line) They hadn't expected it to be this cold
They hadn't expected it to be this cold.
"Come here." Veronica held out her arms for the other woman to scoot within. She held the shivering red headed woman against her trying to warm her friend up. "So it's cold huh?"
Josie's teeth clattered. "Y-you could s-say that." She tried to breath on her all ready fully gloved hands.
"I'm sorry that the fire isn't warming us up quickly." Veronica pressed her lips to the cold skin. "But it is warmer then it has been at least."
"Give it time; then the heat will come off." Josie agreed as she scooted closer into the brunnette.
"Make love to me all night long." Veronica's husked in the other woman's ear. She felt Josie stiffen up. "It'll help keep us warm Jos."
Josie's eyes met those of Veronica. "I don't want you to have to feel that you need to have sex with me Ronnie."
Veronica rubbed her hands up and down Josie's arms. "I want to make love to you." She smiled. "I have since our one night stand three months ago." She kissed the pale cheek against her face. "Tell me that you don't want to once more."
"Not like this." Josie whispered. "I don't want to make love to you just to keep the cold away from us." She sighed. "I don't want to use you like that."
Veronica pulled back with a sad smile. "I get it." She took a few deep breathes. "Once the fire gets going; we'll sleep next to it. It'll keep us warm through the night."
Josie wanted to comfort her friend. But she knew that she would just hurt Veronica if she tried to talk about this. Her eyes returned to the fire that was beginning to build, and give off more heat.
