Okay, so I noticed that there were like zero fanfictions for Under the Never Sky and I was so upset because it's a pretty awesome book:)

This is from the scene at the end where Aria and Perry are supposed to reunite. This is just a continuation. :) Curse those cliffhangers!

Perry POV:

Roar and Cinder had returned to the Tides. You would think I would be relieved, right? Wrong. Roar's temper...something had been off from the start. He was hiding something from me. Initially I had questioned him, asking him if the Croven had attacked Marron's men or if news had come of Liv or her whereabouts. Nothing. Even Cinder seemed off. It wasn't that they were avoiding Perry or that they wouldn't speak to him. They were perfectly friendly. But they were hiding something from him.

Just when Perry thought he was going to loose his mind and truly become a savage, Cinder finally broke and came clean.

"Look", he said, "There's something you need to know."

Perry was finally going to find out. He wanted to feel excited, but something in Cinder's temper made him hesitate. Like he was nervous, fearful of Perry's reaction.

"Go on."

Cinder took a deep breath. " It's Aria."

I wandered alone, sunken deep in my despair. I felt ashamed, having run away from a name. I hadn't even stayed to listen to Cinder's explanation. The moment he had uttered "Aria" I had felt terror and grief grasp at my heart. What could have happened to her?

I would return to the tides, I was only a few miles off. But for now I was too deeply buried in memories of Aria, longing for her presence. I need her as much as air. And now that she was gone, I didn't know what would become of me.

I leaned against an old pine tree, shrouding my face with my hands. I remembered another pine tree. It had held the shack that had sheltered us from the wolves. The same shack where we had slept together. And now, all I longed for was her closeness.

I heard a twig snap. My eyes flew open, alert and piercing through the darkness. I turned my head and inhaled, gathering the scents around me.

And he could scent her. He could nearly taste the violet and rainwater stench that rolled off her skin. She was so close.

"Aria!" I called desperately, my voice echoing in the dead of night. I knew she had heard me.

I inhaled, scenting her temper as I ran to her. It was sharp and light. She was relieved, rejoicing. He could also scent something tender and fierce, yet warm and heavy. He knew it was her love for him. He could feel the strength of it coursing through her.

His feet pounded against the solid earth, his lungs searched for air. But they did not search as relentlessly as he did for her. He would not stop.

When he pulled her into his arms, each of them gasping for breath, he knew his reason to live had never been more clear.

So tell me what you think! Constructive criticisms are appreciated, but please, no flames because I am actually very sensitive. But if you have anything to say that may help improve my writing then please go ahead! :)
