"The best thing 'bout tonight's that we're not fighting."

"Hey, at least we're not fighting like we used to." Nathan mumbled to Peyton, they were laying in his bed, in summer clothing, listening to the rain and thunder outside. "Yeah. We've been this way before, though." Peyton looked up at him. "You know...we used to get along so well...what happened?" Peyton sat up, her hair bouncing with her as she did so. Nathan looked into her eyes. "I know you think I don't care about this relationship...and I know you're getting tired of this..."

"And could it be that we have been this way before?

I know you don't think that I am trying.

I know you're wearing thin down to the core..."

Peyton looked at him, confused. Nathan smiled, ignoring it, and continued. "But Peyton, everytime I see you, I fall deeper and deeper in love with you...don't think I'm just saying this, cuz I'm not. I mean it...without you, I...I'd probably have a break-down." Nathan confessed, as Peyton's eyes gathered tears. "You're one of a kind, Sawyer." Nathan said, leaning up and kissing her forehead.

"But hold your breath,

Because tonight will be the night that I will fall for you, over again,

Don't make me change my mind,

Or I won't live to see another day,

I swear it's true.

Because a girl like you is impossible to find.

You're impossible to find..."

Peyton began to cry. "Nate.." Nathan put a finger over her lips and began to whisper, "Shhhh...just let me finish...please don't cry." He smiled, looking into her eyes. "...I didn't mean for our relationship to go this way...I used to tell you this would always be here. us. I know you believed that, but I think it was a lie. I think I failed, but I've always loved you. Through all the fights and hard times...you've always been here." Nathan put a hand on his heart, smiling brightly.

"This is not what I intended.

I always swore to you I'd never fall apart.

You always thought that I was stronger.

I may have failed, but I have loved you from the start..."

"Oh...Nathan." Peyton breathed under her breath. They both leaned into each other at the same time, their lips swelling as they violently pressed together. After a few moments, Peyton opened her eyes and pulled away for air. Both trying to catch their breath, Peyton wiped away her tears. "I love you so much Nathan." She looked into his sky blue eyes. "I love you too Peyton...I mean it." Nathan smiled, kissing her again, falling back onto the bed with her in his arms. She rolled on top of him and the hot tears rolled about halfway down her face, before they haulted, and dropped onto Nathan's.

They both lay there, together in silence. The only sound was the thunder which had gotten louder each time Nathan and Peyton had kissed. And the lighting, it flashed, lighting up the room each time the couple touched each other. Peyton was sleeping, her naked form pressed up against Nathan's. Her head rested on his chest, Nathan's hand buried in her hair. He, however was awake. He noticed her waking up. She smiled against his skin, breathing in deeply to take in his scent. She looked up at him, smiling sleepily. "I love you." Nathan smiled back, looking down at her. "I love you, too...now get back to sleep." He said with a smirk. Peyton sighed, putting her head back down. "And Peyton?" Nathan whispered. "Hmm?" She lifted her head back up to meet Nathan's gaze. "Have good dreams about me." he whispered, smiling. Peyton leaned up, kissing him lightly before replying. "Oh, don't worry...I will." she whispered back. She slid onto her side, and Nathan followed her actions, as they stared into each others eyes, falling asleep.

"So breathe in so deep,

Breathe me in,

I'm yours to keep,

And hold onto your words,

Cuz talk is cheap,

And remember me tonight,

When you're...asleep."
